“No frills, easy and good price. Staff is very friendly”
I stayed last year at the same hotel. It was as expected. Only the location is not where I need to be in Berlin, but that was the trade off, for the very good pricing.

“I am absolutely disappointed!”
Because the hotel was not in operation. There was no staff. There was no cafe or coffee machine, you couldn't go upstairs because there was some construction work going on upstairs, the elevator wasn't working, there wasn't even anywhere to sit, no one answered the phone. I decided to ask the taxi service to take me to the center during the day. In more than an hour, not a single person passed by except for one mechanic, and you couldn't go upstairs. That and the fact that no one answered any of the contacts were enough for me to conclude that something was seriously wrong with that hotel and to move away to a safe zone. I sent the photos from my cell phone earlier.

The hotel is located in the east of Berlin, in a quiet area. There are grocery stores nearby. The hotel has good transport links: there is a tram line and S-Bahn station in the immediate proximity; you can reach the city centre in half an hour. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean. The shower may seem a little outdated, but there is nothing critical about it. The hotel exceeded my expectations compared to its current rating on Booking.
