“Very bad situation and WE due to IBIS city Berlin North because they want to get money out of client”
The purpose of my trip with my daughter was to visit Berlin and because of a socker game on saturday, and over booking of the last minute for this evening from fans, they sent us to another hotel 15 kms away from them. We finally finished in a hotel 20 kms away from the city center and had to pay extra money for train and time consuming just because someone in their hotel decided to make more money on one night because of this game. This is really unrespectful from the management and from IBIS City Berlin North. Moreover they even told me that they sent me an email. First this was an email in German which I do not speak and secondly, if I choose this hotel is also because of a special purpose. This is not what I call customer service. Moreover, when I was at the second hotel, I have checked on internet about the prices for 2 nights there (this would have costed me 170€ for 2 nights when I paid 258 to be at IBIS City. I have tried the second day to be able to go in another hotel from the same group than the one they sent me in. After sevral time, we finally got the feedback from the hotel saying that we will go back to IBIS City for the second time. It took me time and money and was (still) very upset about this situation. After some discussion with the manager who was at IBIS, I got the transport I paid to go to Berlin back from them but still I do not think that the situation is finished and that they have solve the entire problem. Customer service: shit / taking situation of the customer into account: shit / solving the situation: shit. Without showing that I was not happy, I would not have had anything.

“No regrets about this choice. It was a bit far out from the centre but I knew that when I booked it”
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. One of them (Albanian, I believe) even helped me with a word in German. The room was clean, bright with good facilities including towels, toiletries (not mentioned in the list of facilities) a good television and a good wifi connection.

“Friendly, clean, comfortable, what more could I ask for!”
From the warm welcome from the friendly staff at check in, to the kind words for my onward travel from the lady who helped at check out, everything was perfect! While the hotel is a little dated in some places, it was extremely clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful, not a huge choice but more than enough to satisfy all appetites, and the staff in the restaurant so very helpful and cheerful. There are a number of restaurants within easy walking distance, and transport links into the centre of Berlin close by, maps and advice are available from reception. Would I stay again? Without a doubt, yes ...
