Room Condition & Amenities The room does not reflect the photographs on Booking. Our bedroom appeared to be from the 1980s—worn, outdated, and in poor condition. At €254 per night, we expected basic modern standards, including air conditioning. This price segment demands at least functional AC. Critical issues: • No air conditioning: The room was unbearably hot, making sleep impossible. • Poor electrical layout: No outlets next to the bed. The small refrigerator had to be plugged into the bathroom because no outlets were available in the hallway where the fridge was positioned. • Inadequate infrastructure: For a hotel charging €254/night, basic amenities are non-negotiable. For context: We stayed at a 4-star Maritim hotel in a very good Berlin location for only €110 per night—far better value and quality. Noise & Isolation Issues • Poor window isolation: Windows provided almost no sound dampening. We could hear street noise clearly. • Thin walls: We heard neighbors constantly, including children playing and screaming at midnight. • Location noise: Due to the area, drunk people screamed outside regularly throughout the night. • Overall sleep impossible: The combination of heat, poor insulation, and external noise made sleep unviable. Value Assessment The €254 nightly rate is unjustifiable for this room quality. Given the condition, location noise, and lack of essential amenities, this room should cost €60 or less. The fact that Bayern and Stuttgart were playing in Berlin that weekend does not excuse such overpricing for substandard accommodation. We were two people in a room that felt neglected and poorly maintained. Booking Photos vs. Reality The pictures on Booking do not represent the actual room. This is misleading and a significant concern for future guests. What we received looked decades old. Refund & Service We attempted to cancel the second night due to these conditions.

I arrived at the hotel around 23:40, as I had informed in advance during my booking that my check-in time would be around 23:30. However, when I arrived, the place was completely closed. The lights were on, but there was no staff, no access, and no one responded to my calls or messages. I was left outside late at night with no assistance, no instructions, and no way to check in. Despite this, I was charged the full amount for two nights, even though I never stayed at the property and the booking was later canceled. This situation is absolutely unacceptable. I expect a full refund for the amount charged, as the service was not provided at all. I would also like to highlight that leaving a guest stranded at night without any communication or support is extremely unprofessional and unsafe. Please resolve this issue as soon as possible.

The check-in time is from 15:00 until 23:00 sharp. If you arrive at the hotel ANY other time, you will simply be left outside, regardless of having a (pre)paid room or not. There are no employees at the hotel to assist you from 23:01-14:59. Not even to store your luggage. Also the employees do not speak English.

The receptionists were quite friendly and took down my input. its also in a pretty ideal location to travel around Berlin.

The house already contained everything you needed. And everything was clean and tidy.

Good location near U bahn station, just 15 minutes by subway to Alexanderplatz.
