Overview
Overlooking the Spioenkop Game Reserve, Three Tree Hill Lodge offers luxury accommodation. It features a sun deck next to an outdoor swimming pool. There are hiking trails and guided tours available. All rooms at Three Tree Hill Lodge are spacious and feature touches of African décor. All rooms have private balconies offering nature views. Bathroom amenities are provided in all en suite bathrooms. Three Tree Hill Lodge bar serves local liqueurs and other alcoholic drinks. Guests can also relax and read a book from the lodge’s library. “A special place.”
We were blown away at what a beautiful area this lodge is nestled in, each room has an incredible view of Spion Kop, and a wonderful veranda to sit and watch the day go by. The staff could not have been nicer, and catered to all our needs, including my Mums 85th Birthday. The meals were delicious, and the rooms were spotless and had everything we could possibly need,I.e . Yoga mats, local bird books, hot water bottles etc, they had thought of everything. Our trip to Spion Kop was incredibly informative, and a morning to remember. Our guide was extremely passionate about the battle, and had us enthralled before we had even left the premises.

Fantastic stay . Stunning location and so much to do and see. Activities are very varied and guides superb . Wonderful battle field tour. So quiet and relaxing . Perfect combination of brilliant staff , excellent food and wonderful location .

“World class”
The whole lodge was immaculate and deeply thought through. The importance placed on history, nature and community centricity was highly resonant. Cheryl, Simon and the rest of their team were all of the highest standard. We will definitely be back to this fine establishment.

I thought overall the food was good. However I did not like the meals being served in fixed portions e.g. salads and porridge in containers-too large portions. I appreciated that the owner joined us for a meal!. All the staff and owners were friendly and helpful and the guided tour of spioenkop was excellent

“This is an all-round 15/10 Experience!”
I would rate this place 15/10 if I could! It was a real decadent spoil to stay here. We absolutely loved the location, the rooms are stunning, and the communal areas are so tasteful and inviting. Three Tree Hill Lodge has mastered hospitality - every effort was made to keep things classy, elegant, thoughtful. Yet, there was still an earthy feeling to the place, and I was reminded that I was on a farm with chickens and horses etc. Their care for the earth and all things green was a plus. We used the venue mostly for resting and relaxing and this is the perfect place to switch off. The self-guided walks are simply the best; the food was so unique, interesting and tasty; the staff are wonderful and attentive. Cant wait to come back!

“Authentic African bush experience which manages to be both luxurious but not pretentious in any way.”
Unbelievably stunning location, views across the unspoilt bush landscape from rooms and terraces are unbeatable. Great food, and wonderful dining room / terrace / lounge meant meals were a relaxed delight. Extremely welcoming and engaging staff and hosts. The two dawn game walks we did are now right up there in the highlights of my life.

“Special”
The location feels extremely remote and stunning. The feeling of being in a treehouse is beautiful. The views onto Spioenkop game reserve, from the main terrace, from the room veranda and from on walks are special. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay personal and warm.

“Rejuvenation”
Most amazing setting. Panoramic views. Very tastefully decorated. Loved the library. Slept for 12 hours straight. Peaceful. Our hosts were exceptionally friendly and interesting.
