“A Wonderful Stay in a Beautiful Town”

We had a very warm welcome from Eric who met us at the apartment to show us around, and the local beer left in the fridge was a nice touch. We were travelling by bicycles which were accommodated safely in the laundry room and hallway. The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and well equipped. We loved the location, the apartment was right in the town just a few minutes walk from the town square. There are lots of restaurants, bars, bakeries, and an excellent brewery on your doorstep. The town has so much history. We enjoyed the 4km ramparts walk which you gives great views of the town. The area is fantastic for cycling, we rode to Cassel, a beautiful hill top town, and had a wonderful lunch. We loved our stay, and we will definitely return one day soon 😊

“Everything you need for a break In this lovely town..”

Great location, easy parking.. great for one night equally good for a week.. When next in Bergues, would definitely stay here again.

Great location next to the brewery. I have tried 6 gites in Bergues in 25. Love the freedom it offers and the fact i could keep our bikes safe.

The apartment is in a practical location (the city centre, supermarkets and restaurants are close-by) and the surroundings are beautiful! The apartment is very spacious, had everything I needed, and overall looked very nice and cosy. The owner, Robin, was super helpful and friendly. I can highly recommend a stay!

Nice and comfortable location right in the middle of this small, decent Flemish town. The apartment has everything you need, including a small kitchen. The landlord is very helpful and can give good information regarding possible sightseeing trip. Ideal for a stop-over to enjoy traditional Flemish food or to "inspect" the former ramparts, which are still in good condition.

Very nice space with all amenities. Our host welcomed us to the Gite and provided information on the beautiful and interesting town.

The location was lovely, well positioned near to the shops but also to the remparts and walks. Very quiet and peaceful in this beautiful, well-cared for little town with some super independent shops. Parking was fine. The shower was good. Robin was very helpful and informative.

The owner, Eric welcomed us, he was very kind and helpful, explained the things to know in the property and things to do in this charming town. Very nice touch a bottle of welcoming locally made apple juice. The apartment felt like home to home. Equipped with everything you need and more. Bed was super comfortable. The property is decorated all in a style with warm atmosphere. Lots of parking available around the property.

It was as described in the photos, the interior is nicely furnished, comfy bed, fully equiped kitchen. Thé location si perfect, the apartment is in the vicinity of two of the best rated restaurants in Bergues. Moreover, I had the impression that Bergues itself is one of the monicest cities in the area.

“All you could wish for a short break!”

An excellent gîte with everything and all weathers catered for even storm Ciaran, Bergues is a very nice town with many varied eateries, a nice museum, and there is also a super 4km, if not so well signposted, rampart walk , muddy at this time of year. If you want to climb up the belfry and watch the man playing the hour long carillon concert make sure you book early for 11 am on Monday.
