Bergues is a delightful historic French town. We loved our Fromagerie and Patisserie visits and purchases. Bienvenue Chez Nous is a gorgeous Auberge and was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Our room, St. Winoc, was outstanding. Fabulous restaurant for dinner and breakfast the next morning was also excellent. Valérie and her staff were attentive and lovely. There is safe street parking directly outside. We are definitely planning to return. Highly recommend.

“Lovely building very authenticity decorated.”

We were given three rooms for our family as the apartment we booked did not gave any heating. Valerie was a perfect host. Fabulous rooms. Set menu in restaurant was good price.

Family run hotel in a large building formerly owned by the local town doctor. Nice original features maintained (wooden flooring, window frames and handles). The hotel is run with kindness and a smile. Strongly recommended

From start to finish, this far exceeded expectations. Valerie is fantastic. Great communication and did everything to make our stay absolutely superb. Beds Fabulous. Home made croissants, beautiful bread, jams, cheeses, fruit juice and coffee. Fabulous Christmas decorations too!

Friendly reception, very nice and authentic rooms, complimentary coffee or thee and delicious breakfast.

“Quirky old hotel, full of character.”

Smallish hotel with five rooms, and three next door. Our room was palatial in size, bed was comfortable, bathroom was fine. No AC (although a high tech fan was available) but huge opening windows and the town is very quiet at night. The restaurant in the hotel looked very attractive and we wished we had elected to book a table, as it was we had already made other arrangements ( which turned out to be a disappointment). Breakfast was the normal array of cold meats, cheese, a range of breads, croissants, jams, cereals etc… all perfectly fine. Safe on street parking close to hotel. Walkable to the town centre in five minutes.

As always Valerie was a model host. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. We will definitely look to stay again

“Lovely quirky hotel in a delightful city”

Lovely old building full of lots of quirky touches. Great location in the lovely city of Bergues.

Lovely rooms, dinner was great and breakfast a typical French bread cheese and cold meats, what more cold you wish for. The town was historic and pretty. Couldn't see any other restaurants but a couple of friendly bars made up for it.

Stylish, traditional and welcoming (including the dog). Great location for town centre, street parking outside. Restaurant was closed but a good recommendation to eat at Le Bruegel, an ancient hostelry with (very) hearty Flemish food.

We had a lovely one night stay at Bienvenue Chez Nous. The room was beautiful and the location is in a gorgerous French village with lots of sites to see. We had our dog with us as well, the accommodation is dog friendly and there is plenty of dog walking you can do in the area. Breakfast was fantastic. We would love to come again one day 🙂

“A little gem!”

A wonderful stay in a beautiful room. A large comfortable bed, high ceilings and all decorated in shabby chic. There were little extras available; sweet treats, beverages and even a little snifter of Port. We were sad we arrived too late to enjoy an afternoon meal there as the restaurant looked amazing, but Bergues is a friendly place with plenty of choice. A market and live music brought the square alive which was thoroughly enjoyable. We would love to come back to spend a lot longer here!
