The gite was in a stunning location with lovely views along the Dordogne river with huge gardens and a fabulous heated pool. The hosts, Corinne and Damien could not have been more helpful or friendly. Corrine's mother cooked a fantastic, delicious traditional French meal that we all enjoyed immensely. We could walk into Bergerac, a gorgeous place full of character and amazing food and drink.

The property is exactly as described and exceeded expectations in terms of quality and space. Corinne was so easy to liaise with and the property is absolutely beautiful and was perfect for our group (young children plus grandparent).

Beautiful gite, very comfortable in a fabulous location. Owners very welcoming and left lots of little treats. Very responsive to questions . We loved our stay

“Idyllic gite on the river, surrounded by nature”

This place is glorious. The location is idyllic, right on the river surrounded by a wonderful nature reserve. So much to see. The location is ideal for getting to the many interesting mediaeval villages and vineyards in the Dordogne. Everything in the gite, and the garden, was fabulous and classy. The pool was fantastic - we were in there for hours each day. We didn't meet Damien but did meet Corinne, who is lovely. She is very welcoming and helpful with tips on places to go etc. We will definitely be booking again!

“Fabulous Gite.”

Everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay and good quality. The two king bedrooms are a good size with comfortable beds and linen. The grounds are very nice as is the pool area. Air-conditioning in the bedrooms would have made our stay more comfortable, as the temperature was high 30's nudging 40c! It wasn't listed but we didn't expect such hot weather during this time. Substantial fans are in all rooms. The host Corinne greeted us with a warm welcome. I would highly recommend "Along the River" As two couples we had plenty of room for a very enjoyable stay.

Amazing location overlooking the river with a lovely pool enjoyed by all. Attention to detail with furnishings to suit the age and atmosphere of the Gite. A very high standard and easy access to airport and Bergarac.

The house was well equipped and very relaxing. The pool and garden was so peaceful and you could make the most of the sun in the daytime and the beautiful sunsets in the evening. There was plenty of space to enjoy the table tennis and being able to have some time out of the sun by the river. Everything was great.

Fantastic location with the river at the bottom of the garden and the gorgeous pool. Bergerac is really close and lots of great eateries, vineyards and markets.

'Along The River' is a beautiful Gite on the banks of the Dordogne. The house is extremely well equipped & we all had a wonderful stay there. Corinne and her family were excellent hosts & the meal delivered by her Mum on our last evening was absolutely amazing! Can highly recommend - you really won't be disappointed!

The location next to the river was excellent with a peaceful setting, a lovely heated pool and great accommodation. The recommendations for restaurants and other activities were great too. Overall a great holiday.

The space was amazing and location gorgeous next to the river. The pool was perfection. Everything clean and well presented, great ambience.

Location is just right. We travelled with 2 little ones and they found being 5-10 minutes from everything ideal. The house is super cool and comfortable, the pool made a great impression too.
