“A good choice for a short stay”

Staff were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was good. I liked the location, away from the busy tourist areas, but still walkable (although up quite a steep hill!).

It was clean, comfortable beds and in a nice neighborhood.

Breakfast was amazing, with many options to try - I should have stayed longer so I could have tried everything! The offer of Waffles in the afternoon was a much welcomed surprise. And it is always great to have a tea kettle in the room.

Beautiful building in a great neighbourhood with easy access to everything and lovely views. Nice small boutique hotel. Bed was super comfy and everything in the bathroom worked well. Breakfast was delicious and the breakfast room was a nice feel. The staff were great too.

Lovely Hotel, extremely helpful staff & comfy bed, can’t ask for much more! Whilst the hotel was up a hill it was in a fabulous residential neighbourhood with easy to access the wharf where the ferries left from, which also gave great views across to Bryggen. The centre of Bergen is quite compact so it is also easy to walk to the Funicular and Bryggen itself plus many of the other tourist attractions. Breakfast was very good with something for everyone within their fresh local produce and homemade jams/breads. Complimentary Waffles/jam & a hot drink are offered from 5pm to 8pm, such a nice touch. For 75nok (£6) pp they will give you wax paper with a plastic bag for you to make up a lunch pack, a great idea (and a bargain given Norwegian prices).

“Enjoyed our stay”

This is a warm, friendly hotel in a lovely location close to, but just on the edge of the city centre. Yes - there are sloping ceilings on the top floor but these are part of the charm. Our room was bright with plenty of room. Breakfasts were very good with a wide range of choices which were replenished quickly. Staff were helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay very much.

A little small choice on breakfast, but everything was fresh - that's a plus. The location is excellent, its walking distance to a lot of iconic Bergen places.

Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast good. Room was a bit basic but adequate, quiet and clean. And good value. If it was a double, it would have been a bit cosy but as a single, it was fine. I liked the location because it is in a very picuresque part of Bergen, a litte way from the hub of the Bryggen, but still walkable for everything you need. You should know it is up a pretty steep hill and the hotel does not have a lift. Staff kindly helped with my luggage.

Great location and facilities, well catered for gluten free. Love the concept of this hotel - helping those return to work. Nice to have usb charging ports as well as power points. Small but well appointed bathroom

“Convenient budget hotel in a beautiful central area of Bergen”

- very convenient location - staff was friendly - we were even able to check-in almost 3 hours earlier - beautiful view from the window - tasty breakfast with decent selection, however if you don’t come early, they may run out of things quickly
