Overview
Located in a 16th century building the heart of Bergen, next door to the Hanseatic Museum, is Det Hanseatiske Hotel. It offers unique rustic-style rooms decorated in dark, velvety colours and patterns. The quaint Hanseatiske Hotel feature rooms with centuries-old timber walls, wooden furniture and leather sofas. Great location, very central and able to walk everywhere in Bergen that we wanted to go. The room was a really good size and breakfast was lovely too.

“Lovely historical experience in Bergen”
We had a lovely stay and warmly recommend. Located right next to the Bryggen world heritage site in a historical building, this beautifully renovated hotel is very comfortable and modern while also giving you a feeling of stepping back in time. Fantastic coffee. Very clean room, comfortable bed, lovely large bathroom.

“Great location and helpful reception”
Reception was very happy to let us have a room early and organised transport in the middle of the crazy marathon race. Property was very interesting and well maintained.

Breakfast was very good. Hotel close to quaint stores for shopping. Good restaurants closeby. The room was huge and having a nice tub to enjoy bath was a bonus.

“Lovely hotel in Bryggen.”
This hotel is very comfortable and easy to find from the Bryggen Flyggbus bus stop - it's just at the other end of the old Bryggen houses and easy to walk to. Our room was very spacious with an excellent bathroom. It was very quiet outside during the night after midnight and the hotel itself was quiet and comfortable with very helpful staff.
