“Beautiful stay in Bergen”

This hotel is both lustrous and cosy at the same time. We had a beautiful room with bay windows, great size, huge comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast had incredible choice, and free coffee downstairs is also very welcome. The location is amazing as well, right by the historic area but still relatively quiet. Most importantly, the staff really made this stay special. Roza and Hilde worked around the clock to make sure guests needed for nothing despite general strike in the hospitality industry that affected Bergen. Initially I was concerned about how the quality of our stay would be affected but honestly thanks to general managers doing every job around the hotel themselves we felt like we needed for nothing. Well done!

Lovely, gothic style hotel. Some great architecture - stairs and library / study area where quite something. Bed was comfy, room had everything we needed. It's in a good spot, close to Bergenhus Fortress, but as it's towards the end of the (sort of) peninsula, whether it's in a good location would depend on what you want to do/see whilst in Bergen. Plenty of nearby shops worth a look, on the way to the centre, so we enjoyed it.

Wonderful location

We absolutely loved everything about this hotel. Its in the most amazing location, the staff were so friendly and we felt it was excellent value for money. Breakfast is incredible and even though dinner is limit, as non fussy eaters we loved every meal. Would 100% recommend

We were extremely satisfied with everything during our stay. The accommodation and our room were both very beautiful and spotlessly clean. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. We arrived quite late, after dinner time, yet we were still warmly greeted and kindly provided with a hot meal, which we truly appreciated. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality. We had a great experience and would gladly return!
