“Calm and splendid.”
The whole area was beautiful, calm and quiet. The room was nice and welcoming with fantastic pictures decorations and a wonderful view. I also loved the window and the window handle. The shower wasnt too small, neither too big to slip, the towels were super thick and absorbing. The bed was comfortable, durable and the bedsheets smelled lovely. There is a local cat whom is guarding the nearby chickens with a rooster, the fluffball is well mannered friendly but not overly trusting strangers. We booked another night there after we were discovering the nearby viewpoints, we got new towels and new bedsheet. It wasnt needed but it was lovely. The Morgenmuffel towel really got me.

“Comfortable stay”
We booked 2 room for 4 people. The rooms were well separated with a door. From the both rooms you can access the corridor. Together for both rooms you have a single toilet+washroom. So that you have to go through the room to reach toilet. Since we were family this was not an issue for us. There was a common kitchen. Staffs were very nice and responded fast. We arrived quite late still the Check-in was very smooth.

“Fantastic location close to Chiemsee!”
Great loacted on top of the small hill: „Schellenberg“ We booked the family room for two nights and there was everything we needed. Quite friendly hosts. Highly recommended is the „Gasthaus Schellenberg“ just five minutes to walk. Great local food, fantastic beer garden and superfriendly service!

“Poor communication and unable to check-in”
No communication from owners until it was too late. Unable to check-in on arrival dispite looking around, knocking, calling, messaging and e-mailing.

“Great place to stay, I only can recommend”
Renovated old farmhouse, very clean, a lot of light inside the rooms. Tastefully decorated with ancient Bavarian items. Not overloaded. nice entrance, flowers and cows right outside. So quiet location and great view over the countryside, as it is located on top of a hill. The restaurant is within walking distance and provides high quality local food and beer. Staff is utterly friendly.
