“Perfect place to stay in small village in Perigord-Noir”

Very nice room (with possibility for a second room for two sharing the bathroom if you are travelling with 4) with own small balcony in small village in Perigord-Noir. Very friendly and helpful owner Bernard. Good breakfast. Email him in advance if you would like to ask him for a dinner.

“Totally delightful”

Bernard is an absolute diamond - he is so lovely, and eager for you to have a good trip. His English was better than our French (and none of us was a particularly good linguist!) but his sense of humour saw us through! The location and appointment of the room are fabulous and Bernard’s style is exceptional.

“Dordogne charm”

A very quiet location in a small, picturesque village in the heart of Dordogne, but within reach of many towns, villages and sites of interest. The house has been renovated to a high standard. Our host, Bernard, was very charming, friendly and helpful. He is also an excellent chef and the dinners he served us were delicious as well as being good value. Breakfast was also very good. Bernard recommended a couple of nearby restaurants, one of which we tried (La Petite Tonnelle, Beynac) and found it to be as good as he said. Bernard does not speak English, although he understands some; we were able to hold conversations with our rusty French.
