Aldi and his family are truly excellent hosts. We were made to feel welcome instantly, our room was spacious, comfortable and well equipped - perfect for our short stop off on a camping road trip, but also perfect for a longer stay. Breakfast was delicious!

Wow! What a gorgeous guesthouse. The location was beautiful. A lovely family, who made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was delicious. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Our only problem was that we didn’t stay longer! You will not regret booking this place. Thank you for a lovely stay.

“True castle experience”
I read many reviews before choosing my stay and I must say, I didn't regret choosing this place at all! Friendly host and very welcoming. Good experience in the middle if berat castle with Amazing view. I thought the room had a private balcony, but it was a shared one. And don't worry about the "narrow" road up to the castle, it's only a 20m passage and there are plenty of room for 2 cars at the same time, we managed it with incoming cars and we had a big SUV. It's not a problem getting up there at all! Not sure why other reviews mentioned it as a problem, it really isn't. Would definitely come back again.

The hosts were great and so nice, they made sure we have everything we need. Room is spacious, AC was good, bathroom is great, new and clean. The guesthouse is inside the castle and the view from it is really great, really unique experience, recommended :)

“Perfect location and host”
I had a wonderful stay here! The location is fantastic – after taking a taxi up the hill, you step out of the guesthouse and see the famous head sculpture, and in just two minutes you reach the church, which is a perfect spot for photos and enjoying the view. The family running the place is incredibly kind. Aldi’s mom prepared us a delicious homemade breakfast every morning, and the atmosphere is truly friendly and welcoming. The terrace view is absolutely stunning, both during the day and in the evening. I was traveling for work and needed a very stable internet connection, and the Wi-Fi in my room worked perfectly for online meetings and work without any problems. I would highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting Berat – both for the authentic family atmosphere, kind people and breathtaking location
