Aleksander and Greta were superb hosts. They were attentive and keen to share advice about Berat and Albania. The rooms were spotless and had great views over Berat. Breakfast was excellent. Aleksander was very helpful when we left; we thought we had left something behind in a shop and he was great.

Homemade breakfast, traditionally furnished clean room, nice view from the terrace where we had breakfast and of course friendly and very kind hosts. The entire establishment is very beautiful and well maintained. WIFI worked well too.

“Loved our stay, lovely food, clean room, friendly hosts”
Originally their family home, Hotel Vila Aleksander has been beautifully restored and enlarged to create a wonderful place to stay while in Berat. Located high up in the ancient Mangalem quarter, the views over Berat from the terraces and our room (#1) are stunning. Aleksander and his family are all friendly, helpful and provided excellent breakfasts during our stay. Our room was clean and comfortable.

“Really beautiful guest house in an amazing location”
Characterful refurbished hotel done to an amazing standard and with amazing views. Also very clean and comfortable with outside spaces to enjoy. The hosts were really friendly and breakfasts were superb.

“One of a kind, Berat’s finest B&B.”
We had a wonderful time during our stay. The location is fantastic, the property is beautiful, the rooms are impeccable and comfortable. The terraces are cozy and the views are perfect. The owners’ hospitality was top notch. The breakfast was very nice. We highly recommend this hotel.

“Highly recommend! Has the best the best in Berat!!”
We highly recommend this accomodation. I don’t think you could do any better than this in Berat. The family that own this place are so welcoming, generous, helpful with planning your activities and go above and beyond. There are 2 beautiful terraces we lounged on to admire the stunning view over Berat. It’s easy to walk to all restaurants, cafes, supermarkets & even the castle. The breakfasts were on the rooftop terrace with beautiful music & food straight from their garden. They also had a cute dog Kiko that loves the guests and greets them. The attention to detail was shown with clean rooms and room cleaned. Communication was exceptional. The villa itself is incredibly beautiful and well kept for. Highly recommend listening to Aleksander himself talk about the history of the villa and restoration renovation.
