Built on the ruins of Turkish mansions in the historic centre of the Mangalem Quarter and located 300 metres from the town centre, Hotel Mangalemi features traditional Berati architecture. Best stay of our 15 days of holidays in Albania. The should charge double the price for what they offer . Top location , authentic , clean , homemade breakfast , lovely staff .

Outstanding service from the staff who genuinely wanted to engage with guests and meet our needs. The room (the Attic room) was fine with a lovely balcony, though I am tall and you did need to be aware of the sloping roof. The hotel is really interesting and pretty old and centrally located.

“Unique and charming hotel in perfect location”
Loved it! Great staff, unique building and perfect location as near the castle but at the bottom of the town so we didn't have to walk up the very steep hill with our luggage! Lovely balcony with our attic room and a peaceful courtyard to sit in as well. Would happily have stayed longer.

“Best 3 days of our year!”
This hotel was absolutely amazing. It was purely magical out of our entire Albania trip which lasted three weeks and this hotel was our favourite. Beautiful host, beautiful hotel, so much character- we are wanting to go back!

“Great stay in the heart of Berat”
Super friendly and helpful staff. The location was perfect, within walking distance of many restaurants and close to the river promenade. The rooms were cozy, very clean, and had a charming antique atmosphere.

“Best feel-like-home stay in Berat”
The exceptional treatment of the staff shines over everything, although everything else is just stunning. Perfect place to stay in this beautiful town. It's authentic to every detail, comfortable and clean. The homemade breakfast was to us one of the best we had anywhere.
