“Charming hotel with authentic Albanian decor, amazing views and great staff”

Charming hotel decked out in authentic Albanian decor with amazing views over Goricä district across the river and set into the hills. Great A/C and lovely rain shower. Fabulous staff all spoke English and even carried our bags up the steep steps to our room. Two car spots out front so arrive early to get a spot. Delicious breakfast with fresh eggs, fruit yoghurt vegetables and beignets. Great dinner on the terrace too - top quality all round.

Our stay here was great from start to finish. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and comfortable, while the bathroom was well maintained. Located right in the heart of the city, the property offers stunning views of the Old Town. The Wi-Fi was good and reliable throughout our stay. Together with its beautiful atmosphere, breathtaking city views, helpful staff, and authentic cuisine (the restaurant is amazing), this is a truly special place. Highly recommended for both accommodation and dining.

The location is wonderful. From the street (along the river), there is an outdoor staircase that reaches the reception and restaurant (with a view on the river and the Gorica old quarter), then the first of two historic houses (with two floors, rooms with a great view again), and continues into the Mangalem old quarter where the second house is located. The rooms are beautifully decorated in traditional styles. The restaurant is very good and uses local organic produce. Quite a few other restaurants, monuments and shops are within walking distance. The hotel has a few reserved parking slots right in front. NB for guests with mobility issues: the staircase is a bit steep, the lowest room still requires going up aboit 20 stairs.

Great location perched on the hill of the Mangalem part of Berat. We had a room in the Museum house of the hotel which was really special. Large historic room with a sweeping view on Gorica.

A stunning and traditional oasis in a beautiful town! The staff were so friendly and helpful and the room was modern while retaining details of the traditional architecture. The location is amazing and the food served in the restaurant was exquisite! I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Berat
