Charming guest house at the top of the hill, near the castle. The owners put a lot of effort into making guests' stays comfortable. The rooms are small but with a lot of light and everything needed, including air conditioning for the warmer days and blankets for the colder nights. The breakfast is super nice and in a room with wonderful views!

“A really lovely guest house”

This is a wonderful small guest house. It only has 3 rooms so if it's available you're in luck. Located near to the castle and a short steep walk down to the town. Liliana is an amazing host so friendly and helpful. She keeps the rooms spotlessly clean. They are comfortable too. Nice communal areas too including a lovely garden. Breakfast is delicious and huge! There's a kitchen too if you want to make drinks.

Property was so clean and had such a beautiful garden. Perfect location, and the host was so warm and welcoming. Food was excellent!

I liked everything. The Host is a perfectionist and a very kind woman. Her place is super clean with not a single fragment of dust. Garden is top notch and so is the whole accommodation. The breakfast was exceptional with a wonderful mountain view. Home cooked and she even changed the menu during the 2 days I stayed there. Loved the pies, cherries, salad, butter, eggs everything. She also helped me arrange an affordable taxi to Bus Terminal. She remembers everything. Next day during the breakfast, she remembered that me and my partner like Coffee with milk. Small things that make a big difference. The place is 2 mins walk from castle. You may need to hike your way up from the main market but worth it. Of course you can also take a taxi up. I explored the castle, Market, gorica region, mangalem region, river and a lot more hidden gems. All close to the location. Berat is compact yet beautiful. Great for history lovers. Don't forget to try traditional foods like Tave Kosi, seasonal vegetables, Qofte, Raki, etc

“Wonderful stay in Berat!”

Wow what an amazing place to stay in Berat! The hostess is incredibly kind and helpful. The breakfast each morning was exceptional and the views were unreal. We could not recommend this guesthouse enough! The location is right next to the Berat Castle and a 15-20 minute walk to the old town.

Everything is nice about this place, but views from the window is a biggest winner!

The place was very close to the castle area, but still calm and nice. The garden was lovely and had a beautifull view over the town with mountains in the background. The breakfast was very nice. We could have stayed longer in this lovely place.

What’s not to like? Glorious location, lovely property with an amazingly manicured garden with an incredible view and spotless, comfy rooms. All hosted by one of the most generous and accommodating hosts imaginable. 10/10.

- Close to the castle (and more peaceful than inside the castle) - room is ok, it offers an (old) bed and a bathroom, but does not look at all like the pictures - the owner is super friendly

Its in a very nice location if you have a car. Otherwise its a bit steep recommend to use a taxi to get to the location. Otherthan that its very nice and beautiful. The owner was lovely she treats you very nicely and help you with everything.

“Little gem right outside the castle”

A fantastic little gem right outside the castle grounds. Perfect location as the castle is a short walk uphill, and the historical Mangalem quarter is only about 10 minutes walk downhill. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure we felt like guests, and not clients. Lovely breakfast, and brilliant home-made raki. Albanian hospitality at its best. Will definitely recommend.

Food was excellent, Lilliana was exceptionally helpful and got us a cab to the airport for 30 euros cheaper than a rival quote

The host was super friendly, from the beginning we felt very welcome. The breakfast each morning was amazing, more than enough and with fresh fruits and vegetables from the garden.

This was our favourite stay in Albania so far. The host was so incredibly welcoming and lovely and we felt right at home. The views were spectacular and the breakfast was enormous and delicious! Thank you so much

Absolutely amazing, nice and clean house, very very friendly lady, stunning views from window at castle and town, awesome breakfast, good homemade wine.

Great place and great location. Such a lovely lady, do try the dinner and wine she serves, it's amazing and great value for money. She even helped us with taxi and coach booking. It was such a lovely experience. If you are lucky you get to meet Dom at the property, such an amazing gentleman. Hope to visit again.

A really lovely guesthouse in a great location with beautiful views up to the castle and down over the old town. It was very comfortable and the breakfast was the best - everything was so fresh - olives, tomatoes, cucumbers grown by the owner, delicious home made butter, fig jam and marmalade. Also delicious savoury pastries and omelette. The owner was very welcoming and hospitable. We would highly recommend Guesthouse Emiliano.

We truly felt like at home, where mom takes care of you and the home :)) everything was perfectly clean, breakfast was tasty, the view from our room was perfect and host was very nice. We were surprised that it’s possible to get such a nice room and service for the price!
