“Exceptional accomodation with delicious cuisine”

We felt very lucky to stay in such an amazing accommodation. They were able to check us in before 12:00 and since our arrival the staff was great and helpful. As you enter the building, you can feel the atmosphere of home with all the lovely smells from kitchen. We also tried their food and beer and all was top. Room was clean and spacious enough, they told us in advance about the glass bathroom so all was well discussed. Before you go to sleep you may think it’s a bit noisy because of the kitchen noises but our baby boy slept like usual and we slept well too so nothing to complain about. In the morning there was delicious breakfast waiting for us, they even made us fresh eggs as we wished. Location is great, just cross the bridge and you can get lost in lovely streets or just wander around the streets in the area of hotel that are also very nice to discover. Parking is just 2-3 minutes of walking, costs 500leki. There are only 3 rooms available so for sure book this place and you’ll love it as we did. Beautifully restored building with a restaurant and three guest rooms in the middle of old Berat. Dinner is excellent and the owner treated us to glasses of wine beforehand. Breakfast was included too.

We had a fantastic experience at Amalia Hotel and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Berat. Before we even arrived, the owners contacted us to make sure we had clear directions to the hotel, which made us feel cared for from the very beginning. When we reached the city, they guided us to the closest parking area and welcomed us warmly. The room was spotless, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We especially appreciated the cozy bar area where guests could enjoy complimentary raki, wine, and water such a thoughtful touch that made us feel at home. Breakfast was generously offered and very tasty, with fresh and well-prepared food. The owners also took the time to explain the way to Berat Castle and suggested other interesting places to visit inside the castle and around the historic area, which helped us make the most of our trip.

Good communication from the host. Nice location not too far from the river and a straightforward 10 min walk into the city. Atmospheric building. Breakfast was good, in particular the fig jam and the byrek. The bed was very comfortable and the heating worked well although it took a while to get going. Free water, wine and raki and snacks were provided which was great as the tap water is not drinkable generally in Albania. Powerful shower which was great. There were slippers provided.

“Full of character, well located boutique hotel in old town -easy access everywhere”

This is a quaint hotel, located in a quiet area in the old town, it has a lot of character. It's family owned and it shows in the personalised service. My daughter got ill and even though they only have a set menu on offer they went out of their way to make her a soup-which was delicious. The ladies in the kitchen are friendly, the menu is delicious and our room was comfortable. They don't advertise too loudly but the New York Times wrote a positive review of the restaurant.

The hospitality, the location, and the food were extraordinary and perfect. Julian, the host, is a young fellow and with his employees do everything for your convenience. The rooms, building, and atmosphere were just great. If you want to make your experience in Berat no less than great, hurry to book this boutique hotel (it has only 3 rooms) in advance. Highly recommended.

What a lovely guest house. Had the most wonderful stay in a beautiful room, comfortable bed and the most wonderful food. Perfect location in Berat, parking nearby and fantastic hosts.
