“Great value for money, wonderful host, best stay in Berastagi”

Everything was great - when we arrived the host, Mery, sits down with a map of Berastagi and tells you where to eat, what markets to visit, and other things to do. Then she organized the sunrise volcano hike up Mt Sibayak for us and she organized onward travel to Lake Toba. There’s a roof top with 360 degree view - great for sunset. WiFi is great, water is hot, water is available, she made breakfast for us at 4am in the morning. This is a really great homestay and I recommend 100%! Also pizza is delicious

We had a great stay here. Mery was a wonderful host—very nice, welcoming, and helpful. She provided us with good tour options for the area and useful recommendations on what to do around the village. We had also read about her delicious homemade pizzas, and we can definitely confirm that they are amazing! The room was clean, comfortable, and met all our needs. It offers good value for money.

“One of the best stays in Berastagi”

The owners are great! They took their time and explaind what to see and what to do, they even draw us a map (where to eat, what to try and how to get around). I highly recommend you book with them and also do the guided Sinbayak trekk. The guide was really nice and also spoke really good english, so we were chating the whole time. He also really knows volcanoes, so if you want you can really learn a lot.

Excellent location, spotlessly clean and carefully maintained in every detail. The owner is extremely attentive and meticulous, taking care of everything with great precision. She provides valuable help in organizing transportation and tours. I forgot an item at the property, and she made sure it was delivered to me in another city.

Mery was the perfect host and we had a very experienced and knowledgeable guide to tje volcano as well! Room was very comfortable and Mery was super helpful with everything. Would definitely recommend!

The place was great. Very friendly and welcoming host. She organised all the activities for us. You should definitely take a guided tour for the volcano climb. It was very informative. The guide told us a lot about the area.

Both owners are incredibly friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms were simple but clean! The homemade pizza is also highly recommended.

“A budget homestay with an amazing host!”

Mary was a great host. When we arrived, it was raining. She waited for us to get fresh and then very diligently gave us the key information on food, markets, attraction through map drawings and about the volcano trips. The room was very big and big bathroom with hot water facility.We wanted to go Berastapu and ghost village at the base of Sinabung next day but since it was raining heavily, we were not sure. She asked us to wait till early morning and have a look of volcano from the rooftop of her homestay and then decide to book a car. And next day, volcano view was clear and she arranged for car with driver in an hour for our trip and return to Medan. You can get a sweeping 360 view from the rooftop which is also amazing! The driver even took us to famous Berastagi fruit market on our way back. Her kids are very friendly and my kid enjoyed with them a lot. Even though it was a 1 night stay for us, but it was very worthwhile and comfortable without any worries. Attached pic of the volcano from homestay"s rooftop.

“Fijn verblijf met aardige mensen”

The room was clean and we had hot shower. Mery and her husband Abdj are so friendly. At arrival Mery welcomed us and gave an explanation about the map of Berastagi and what we should visit. In the morning she made take away breakfast for us for our hike to the Sibayak volcano. We went with Abdi up to the volcano and he made our stay pretty amazing.

We really enjoyed our stay at the homestay. Mery is a wonderful host and helped us with all our questions. She even organized a scooter for us for a day trip to Lake Toba. The only drawback was that there was unfortunately no Wi-Fi in our room. We would recommend the homestay.

Very nice hosts . They inform about all possible activities in Berastagi, volcano Tour is offered by the owner Abdy, who guides also very professional and speaks perfekt english. His wife Mery fulfills all wishes concerning transport, renting scooter and all around the house

“Good basic stay.”

Good basic place. For me it was a little far from the centre but it is possible to use the little mini buses to travel.
