By far the place to be in Berastagi. Within walking distance from the city center, laundry nearby (trekking shoes washed in 4 hours), owner organizing the sunrise tour by grouping solo travelers.

Keasa gave a lot of tips about the city. Also really friendly and approachable

We had a fantastic stay at Kaesa Homestay. The owner and his son are extremely welcoming, helpful, and friendly. They went out of their way to assist us with everything we needed, and their local recommendations were spot on. We would definitely love to return here in the future!

Fabulous little guesthouse in the heart of Berastagi. Kaesa is the friendliest, warmest host you could hope for. He gave me a wonderful welcome and gave me some excellent recommendations. He also arranged a brilliant volcano trek and hot spring activity plus a driver for my onward travel. I was also cooked the best vegan pancakes with banana for breakfast! Cannot recommend this gem highly enough.

Quiet and good location. Very confortable, views on the city from the common balcony. The banana pancakes are very nice on breakfast 😉. And owner was super helpful to organise my visit of Subayak and my travel the next day.

“Loved my Stay”

Right from arrival everything was perfect. Kaesa was there to welcome and spent time showing options for the area including trekking providing drawn maps to keep as well. The room was as pictured and very clean. Breakfast was great each day. Everyone was friendly and helpful and easy to arrange onward travel. Loved my stay here.

Perfect location, spot clean and the owner gave us all the indications to visit the city, organiced the tours and taxi for us. Cant recommend this place enough. The breakfast was delicious too.

The owning family and staff are all amazing. The view is beautiful, make sure to book a room with balcony. The services are incredible - they can arrange volcano hikes, waterfall trips all in a budget friendly setting and will explain the public transportation options as well. They even packed me breakfast for checkout morning as I was leaving at midnight. Not that I have been elsewhere, but they’re the best around. Everyone knows them and is well respected in the community

From the moment we arrived, the owner made us feel genuinely welcome. He sat with us, took his time to share his favourite local spots and restaurants, and arranged our sunrise trek to Mount Sibayak. That experience alone exceeded all our expectations — and at the price charged, it is exceptional value. Breakfast is good with a decent variety of options, the property is well kept, and the rooms are comfortable. But what really sets Kaesa apart is its location: 10 minutes on foot from the centre of Berastagi, yet far enough away to escape the noise of motorbikes and the worst of the pollution.

We had a comfortable stay. Kaesa welcomed us and gave a lot of information on places to eat, visit, how to go around and advice 🙏. He also arranged for our hike up Mt Sibayak and hot springs. We enjoyed our time and appreciate his kindness and warm hospitality 😊🙏.

Book this Homestay with any second thoughts. Mr Kaesa would after you like a family member, answer any question you may have or as many times you have. As soon you arrive he will explain you everything that you can go in the area, show you good restaurants and book the tours and transfers within minutes. Rooms are very clean too.

Location. Near a mosque for muslims and just a 6minute walk to the ‘Pasar Buah’. Very affordable with simple b’fast👍

“Amazing stay”

Honestly this was a lovely stay, from the welcome talk we could see this lovely family knows how to manage a homestay. They help us in everything, we came sick from the jungle, and they give us herbal medicines, they informed us about anything we asked them. They also found a totally new motorbike for rent, and suggested many interesting activities and places.

Such a beautiful warm welcome. Spacious clean room with hot water. Lovely little terrace and lots of gorgeous plants. Breakfast include made fresh to order. 😍😍 Hosts organised and led my sunrise volcano hike which was amazing. My hosts always greeted me and stopped for chats to make sure everything was ok. Always very helpful in suggesting places to eat or visit. They accommodated my dietary requirements too. 😍😍❤️

Great location, lovely family who run the homestay they organise a tour to hike Mount Sibayak with other people in the homestay, they also helped us book onward travel which was really helpful. Really tasty breakfast and comfy rooms
