The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The food was fresh and tasty, and the surroundings were beautiful. We had a really pleasant stay.

An absolutely fabulous location and wonderful hosts! Igor immediately showed us the best hiking trails in the area and suggested we try local specialties, and in the last evening we had a great time chatting with them. I highly recommend ordering food during your stay – both dinner and breakfast. The food cooked by Slavica is delicious, and the honey we had the opportunity to try was the best I've ever tasted. The cottages themselves are very clean, tidy, and atmospheric. They're warm at night, and the beds are comfortable. We only spent two nights here, and our only regret is not booking a longer stay :). We will definitely be back.

“Authentic and nature”

Amaizing place, wonderful people, the food is magnificent, you can feel the local Montenegrin vibe here. The place is located 1660 m a.s.l. closeby to the Šiško Jezero. The trekking roads are all over around, it's great place for a trip base. As an addition you may ride a horse or milk a cow. Cows, horses and sheeps are walking around freely :) You can never get enough of the views there, the tasty food that Slavica prepares and the talks with Miladin and Igor. I recommend the katun to everyone who is longing for the nature! No matter the weather we enjoyed it even when it was raining one evening :)

Comfortable cabin rooms in the mountains, brilliant hospitality, amazing scenery — the most incredible homemade local food! What an experience.

It is a beautiful setting, surrounded by hills and little lakes you can walk to! The hosts are very kind and can provide you meals for an extra cost. It is held by two brothers and their parents, the parents don’t speak English so that made it complicated sometimes, however I thought it added to the charm and authenticity. There was also wifi so you could ask the brothers for help if they were not there. I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful stay without too many tourists.

“A Lovely Stay in the Mountains”

I enjoyed my stay at Katun Siska Medna Dolina. Igor and his parents have created a cozy space from which to explore the mountains. The cabin is comfortable and Igor's mom made massive, hearty meals - all from food they sourced themselves! And the views...there are swings on the property and you can look out over the hills and trees and it's so peaceful. The hosts were really nice and it's such a lovely area; I can't wait to come back next year! P.S. I opted to get a ride from the village and was glad I did. (I'm a skittish driver but you might be ok driving the road. My friend managed just fine.)

Fantastic welcome at this very remote traditional summer herders cabin. The food cooked by our hosts was excellent traditional fare. Far too much for us to eat, but exceptional value and very much welcomed. Traditional coffee, freshly made juices, plentiful Spring fed water and milk fresh from our hosts 5 cows. Location is very remote, high altitude at 1700m above sea level. Super friendly and helpful, language barrier overcome by our hosts having translation booklets. This is a simply amazing landscape in the Bjelasica mountains. Highlight was sharing the lake Malo Sisko Jezero (1km from the cabins) with a herd of horses, epic.

One of the best accommodations I have ever been at. The location was great, the owner extremely friendly and helpful, great traditional food. Would recommend to anyone who likes mountains, fresh air and slow living.

We had a great time at Katun Siska, situated in a wonderful mountain position. The family that run the place are really lovely, and we enjoyed a very good dinner and breakfast. A place we will remember! The 6 km white dirt road that leads to the katun is passable without problems, just with a bit of care on driving the last kilometres.

The cabin is probably at the best location on the mountain with beautiful surroundings and lots of options for breathtaking hikes. The hosts were extremely accommodating and the food was beyond amazing! One of the best places we've ever stayed at!

One of the best experiences in Montenegro. If you need rest from a lot of people, you should come here. Very pleasant hosts, exeptional meal.

Medna Dolina Šiško Lake is a peaceful retreat surrounded by stunning nature. The hosts are incredibly welcoming, and the accommodations are cozy and clean. The food, made from local ingredients, is delicious and authentic. It's the perfect spot for relaxation and enjoying the beauty of the area. Highly recommended!

“A magical, unique experience”

A truly magical place to stay deep in the countryside. The views are simply stunning, the home grown/prepared/cooked food is tasty and wholesome - they make Everything!!! - and the cottage is cozy and sweet. The hosts do everything in their power to make your stay wonderful. They create a really homely, welcoming feel to the amazing place. After just one night we really didn’t want to leave - we were actually quite sad driving away 🥲

Amazing place in a beautiful meadow. Hosts are living a traditional life in the mountains. The food is amazing! Lovely lakes nearby and some cool hikes to be done.

Breakfast & dinner was very good: traditional, natural & hand made food. The owners were very kind, nice and helpful. We will come back here 😊
