“Just the bath experience we were expecting”
The kaiseki and breakfast were excellent. The bathas - in the room and the larger facility - were also as advertised and also excellent. Staff was super friendly and helpful when we arrived too early. The location for other sites in the city was good. We used buses and it was an easy to reach location. We loved the room, it was comfortable and well equipped.

“A great stay in a comfortable hotel with excellent facilities.”
This hot spring (Onsen) hotel is a lovely place to stay; the room we stayed in was very comfortable, with all the things you would want: A bedroom with tatami mats on the floor and a sitting-room area which made it a mini suite in fact. Tea-making facilities with the Japanese tea supplied and other extras such as a refrigerator in the room. The hot spring bath areas (separate large public baths for men and women plus smaller family baths) are lovely and easy to use. Dinner and breakfast were included and the only thing I can say is that the meals were exceptional, with fantastic Japanese food that also included regional dishes, all presented in a way that would outclass Japanese restaurants in London in my opinion. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful.

We had a beautiful room with amazing views and the private onsen in our room was nice. We could also use a private outdoor onsen. Dinner and breakfast were huge!

“Ryokan with private onsen and excellent food”
The very hot private onsen with original onsen water on the balcony was the best, although the public bath was also very nice! Food was excellent too!
