“Amazing! Will visit again.”
Would I visit again? YES!!! Absolutely amazing experience. A small traditional hotel putting a lot of emphasis on detail and customers needs. Comfortable rooms, outstanding dinner menu w/ a variety of local food and impressive sashimi plate. Option to select different private Onsen/Sauna. Location is in walking distance to one of Beppu’s main attractions (Hells of Beppu), while at the same time in quite local neighbourhood. I would visit Beppu again to stay at this place.

Love the place as it has the touch of a Japanese character hospitality. Private baths were arranged based on time availability. The highlight of all is the superb dinner and breakfast. The ryokan is also walking distance to Jigokumushikobo Kannawa restaurant where they use hotspring steam to cook their food and vegetables. And if waiting for your check-in time into the ryokan, there's a nice cafe inside the Jigoku Onsen Museum, which is also a walking distance from the ryokan itself.

The food was amazing, the staff were very nice and attentive (they even offered bottled water as it was a very hot day before we went out). Highly recommend to anyone travelling to Beppu!

“An amazing slice of Japanese culture.”
The whole experience was absolutely 10/10. The staff were so friendly and helpful, we used a translate app to communicate check in and there were instructions available in English for the room and amenities. We were able to reserve a private bath in the evening and again in the morning as part of the booking; there was an option for indoor and outdoor baths. The onsen baths & sauna were absolutely amazing, even in the summer! We had dinner and breakfast included, but we didn't realize it was a banquet! Both meals were absolutely incredible with fresh, local foods to try. Thank you for sharing a slice of Japanese culture with us kiwis!

“Great experience of Japanese Ryokan in Beppu”
Staff is super kind and helpful. Dinner and breakfast is superb. Especially, there is a big local supermarket just 5minutes away by walk from the Ryokan.

“Can only recommend for someone who wants onsen full servise experience”
The personnel were awesome, speaking English to an extend. The rooms were cozy. Lunch was 9 course meal which was composed of sashimi, soups, steamed vegetables and more. The breakfast in my opinion was a bit worse, less taste. The onsens were clean, comfy and not crowded since you will reserve it to be private. Overall must recommend.

The breakfast was really good, as well as the dinner. They gave us the plastic bag that we can pack our breakfast bread. The food they prepared were the best quality and sufficients, and my parents were really satisfied with them. They set the food on time, and provided the best service during the meal. The sasimi and beef quality was also good. when we left the staying, it was heavily snowing but we didn't have any umbrella, so the master gave us the umbrellas and let us know about the bus cancellation. We were so moved with their service and kindness. I really recommand here to the people who travel with their family or partners.
