“THE Ryokan on our trip, excellent to stay - beautiful, modern & traditional style with cozy onsen.”
At the third day of our Japan trip, this was our first Ryokan and Onsen experience in Japan. The staff was very friendly and helpfull, spoke good English, and made us understand typical do's and dont's for onsen very well. The room was very spacious with a great view of a small garden. In the room we could relax with some fresh macha tea offered from the house. After a soak in our own onsen andsome fresh tea, we have dinnered outside the Ryokan in a tiny Sushi bar. On our way back to the Ryokan, we suddenly experienced the traditional springtime celebration in Beppu: In the twilight there was a huge but controlled fire with additional fire works on the mountain hills near Beppu. After getting back into the Ryokan, we have enjoyed a typical regional Sake-tasting in the community room. We tried 4 different Sake types from Kyushu, explained very well by the barkeeper. Highly recommended to try these sake's ! Unforgetable experience, we’d love to stay at this ryokan once again.

“You should stay there if you want a relaxed experience!”
Beautiful modern ryokan with three very nice and cozy onsen which you can use for yourself. Tattoos are allowed since you can privatize the onsen. Breakfast was delicious and staff is super friendly and helpful.

- The dinner and breakfast were presented beautifully. Almost like art pieces. They were delicious too. - The private onsens were very enjoyable and convenient to use - Staff were polite and friendly - The lounge has a cozy vibe and got some nice magazines and books to read. Also free drinks in the mini fridge - The room was spacious and decorated with ikebana flower arrangements - Tea leaves were provided instead of the standard tea bags which I really appreciated - Good selection of alcoholic drinks with some of them free of charge

“Excellent and comfortable, with great service.”
Excellent beds, very quiet area. Biggest surprise for me was that at breakfast I got a letter in Dutch explaining the dishes! Onsen were during my stay semi-private (meaning you were allowed to lock them during use) which I reckon is a plus for some people or families (personally I don't mind). Food was excellent with a free tasting of Sake. In the common area there were free drinks (also beer).

“Perfect traditional, private and peaceful ryokan experience.”
Very quiet and discreet location. Top class food prepared in house and served in traditional Japanese style. Hot baths were private and so clean. Staff were helpful, friendly and respectful. This is a traditional high class, high quality, quiet boutique establishment. Room was so very large! This is THE ryokan traditional experience to have!
