Overview
Built in 1911 in Beppu, known for the area having the most numbers of hot-spring baths in Japan, KAMENOI HOTEL Beppu offers on-site public hot-spring baths and sauna rooms for guests to relax in. Massages can be requested for an extra cost and free WiFi is available throughout the entire property. All rooms come with Japanese yukata robes. JR Beppu Train Station is a 5-minute walk away. Free parking is available on site. The air-conditioned rooms feature a flat-screen TV, a fridge and a safety deposit box. Guests can make green tea using the electric kettle and slippers are provided for all guests. The en suite bathroom comes with a hairdryer and a toothbrush sets. The hotel told us that the booking is only one person .. where we book form booking .com is two person .. end up we need to pay extra for the breakfast !! This something we can’t accept .. why booking .com create this error .

The location of the hotel is strategic. Breakfast hall is huge to cater for big crowd. Staff / Managers are friendly and helpful. Within walking distance to eatery places for supper at night. Safe to walk around at night.

Spacious rooms, mini toilet. Nice view of the mountain and sea. Quiet room and good beds for rest. Parking is next door at the multistorey carpark. You get a qr code that you scan everyday before you drive out. Within walking distance to mall, restaurants, conbini and train station.

The hotel & room was very clean & spacious. The breakfast was very delicious, lots of variety of foods to choice. The staff was very friendly. The hotel was a short walking distance away.

The view from our room on the top floor was breathtaking. Room was spacious and clean as a whistle, Close to the station. Staff friendly and helpful.

“Really good value”
Hotel was fancier than the price suggested. Everything was clean and nice, if somewhat old style. Views over Beppu also quite nice. Spa was large enough. However I still answered no when asked if I would recommend this for a romantic stay. For that, I guess the location and views should be different. Kamenoi has a convenient location near the train station, but it's not that romantic. Also, the south side of Beppu city is ok, but not that romantic. I was happy though because I wasn't after romance this time. Buffet breakfast had a really good selection of local specialities, Japanese dishes and western options. Didn't try the optional Japanese breakfast as we only stayed one night.

Breakfast was complimentary and the spread was good. Parking was also complimentary. Walking distance to YouMe shopping centre and Beppu Tower.

“I am very sorry to say that the stay was quite disappointing for me and my family.”
location was ok . The staff was prompt to bring 2 fans to our room as it was warm.
