“Kind family, late booking confusions.”

The room and bathroom were amazing, even a little balcony and a fabulous breakfast. You literally step off the platform onto the property. Trains a little loud but didn't really bother me.

The accommodation has an excellent location, just a 5-minute walk from the beach. The view from the balcony overlooking the garden is beautiful, and there are many birds and squirrels in the garden. The breakfast was delicious, and the hosts were very helpful with everything I needed.

The stay was pretty close to the beach and the restaurant opposite to the stay is a must try. The host was very friendly and also knew Hindi which made communication easier for us too. He also arranged breakfast for us even though it was not included.

“Perfect for a good value stay in Bentota”

Great location close to the beach a loads of restaurants close by. The room was great value, cold A/C and the property had space to relax outside the room too. Breakfast was provided at a time of our choice, with omelette, toast and fruit. Our hosts were super welcoming and helped us get the most from our time in Bentota.

Fabulous location. Minutes from the beach and from the train station. Wonderful hosts Jay and Manj plus son Tharul. Nothing too much trouble. Large room with super large bed. We ended up booking an additional night. Lovely breakfast provided. Would definitely return and recommend. The most comfortable bed we've slept in. Huge with a mossie net but we didn't experience any mossie issues. You can hear the trains passing through which didn't bother us at all. Very authentic experience.

Lovely room and huge balcony over looking wonderful array of plants and colours in the well tended garden.Great breakfast served each morning on balcony and there is small shared kitchen for the 4 rooms also.The family that run it are so warm,caring and lovely and within 5 minutes of arriving a freshly picked coconut was prepared for us.Excellent location for beach and restaurants- try Bamboo Gardens

“Would recommend staying here for your trip”

The property was amazing! Very clean and comfortable and beautiful rooms with a balcony. We were allowed to use the kitchen and got our breakfast cooked for us in the morning! The hosts are lovely and very friendly and help you with any questions.

The owner is such a helpful and caring person. The house is surrounded by a nice garden and very close to the beach. Big room, verry clean, nice terrace. I will definitely come back and stay longer

“Great father son team”

The father and son duo are great. The son is so kind and extremely hard working. He made sure our room was clean. Got the wifi up and running for us. The breakfast was great. They have a beautiful property that leads right to the beach over the train tracks. There is even a kitchen where you can use the fridge. We personally loved the train tracks on the balcony. You can watch the trains pass and it really isn't that loud. We are light sleepers and slept fine. HIGHLY recommend you stay here.

“A perfect stay”

We had a perfect stay at Tharul Home in Bentota. The accomodation was very clean, spacious, and very close to the nice beach of Bentota. The great breakfast every morning and the super friendly host and his family made our stay a perfect one.

Loved our stay at Tharul Home. J and Manjula made it a home from home and the breakfast was great. Lovely comfortable bed with good air con and fan The location right at the railway station made it easy to find and as most of the best restaurants are accessed from the platform we were well positioned. The beach is very nice and only a couple of minutes walk away.

The hosts were very nice. Balcony. Beautiful beaches in the vicinity and several good restaurants that provided diverse and good dining options.

This guesthouse is a great place. The hoise is next to the tran station and onyl 50 meters from the beach. The room is nice and clean and it has an awesome balcony where you can sit the evening and enjoy sunset. The bathroo is new so no issues there. Good internet and a good breakfast. The host, Jay, is very helpful and whatever you need he is ready to help or provide advice. The house also has a fridge and stove so if you decide to stay longer you can can cook some basic stuff. If you want to stay sowmehere at the very beach and at the same time to feel local the local people, not to eb in a crowded hotel, Tharul house will be a great pick
