Accommodation in a nice area, short walk to beach and restaurants. I had issues with my A/C, the owner and her son came straight away to try and sort it, when they couldn't, I was offered a change of room, which I accepted. I moved from the family room to a double room (which I actually preferred). A nice big room, fridge, good bathroom with a good shower and plentiful hot water and excellent A/C.The outside kitchen was lovely. The owner doesn't speak much English but we always managed to sort things with a friendly smile! Her son did help her with the English. If in the area again, I would definitely go back.

It was really great and we enjoyed it a lot

We had a memorable stay at the Thara Cabana. Spacious, clean room with a large comfy bed, clean washroom with hot running water, delicious breakfast. The villa is located 5 minutes walk to the beach and 15-20 minutes walk to Aluthgama. It was definitely a great choice. Thank you for having us!

The accomodation was pretty nice, decorated in an interesting style, a lot of wood. The owner was nice to us, but we did not feel real friendly attitude, we stayed there for 2 weeks and some issues with communication made us dissapointed. Breakfast was tasty with lots of local fruits, but the same every day, for us it was ok. Planning our stay in this apartment we thought that this apartment had a private garden, but it was not private actually. It can not be seen on pictures, that this garden has a passage to the other apartments, and the terrace is separated from other rooms by a semi-transparent wall, so you cannot talk without being heard, and you can hear everything that is happening on the other terraces. Also you can hear the owner's family members speaking just behind, as their house is also very close.

“Mixed feeling”

Beautiful room, hot water, good wifi. It is good to arrange breakfast, otherwise you get one egg, toast, fruit, juice and a hot drink and you should have the same breakfast every day, so arrange it. What I didn't like at all, even though it was my second time here, is that you don't even check in, suitcases in front of the door, the owner is in the room and just shows us how much money to give her. She doesn't wait, everything right away, pay and she will stand in your room until you give her the money. I really don't like that! In other accommodations they let you check in and then pay or when you leave. So I always pay at the beginning everywhere, but not immediately, within 2 minutes

Pretty stay , good and helpful people .. very welcoming and polite. Location is pretty good, just a two minute walk from the Bentota Railway station tracks where you can enjoy breakfast along with a view of trains.

“Wonderful Retreat”

This was a wonderful place to stay for our few nights in Bentota. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was good. Breakfast every morning was wonderful as well. The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful. The location of the property was not far from the beach or the Main Street. If we come back to Bentota we will for sure want to stay here again!

We were impressed by the modern accommodation and bedroom furnishings. It is within 5 mins walking distance of restaurants and 8 min to the lovely beach. The walled gated garden was good for small children. Check-in and check-out were easy. The beds were comfortable and not too hard like in other places in Sri Lanka. Great choice if you only want proper sleep and a clean bathroom with hot water and are not in need of advice or recommendations from the host.

Tastefuly decorated cabana, very comfy bed, everything you need is there. Good shower and AC. Great breakfast and friendly owners. very close to the beach, restaurants and the railway station. Recommended!

Room is stunning nice breakfast lovely setting very modern, stylish etc But obviously a bit more expensive than other places I've stayed.
