The hosts are SO wonderful 🥰 this was seriously the best service I have ever received in any accommodation. It is also a serene setting, just behind the road from the beach which is about 30m away, and the best rooms are at the height of the palm trees with cute little balconies. The complimentary breakfast is wonderful - a beautiful fruit platter, yummy creamy yoghurt with honey, a mango juice, tea/coffee, eggs/omelette and sausages, toasted brioche and a plate of all kinds of Sri Lankan baked treats (like a rolled up coconut sugar crepe, some coconut roti, a yummy sourdough-like sweet muffin and some samosa-like pastries). They packaged up those Sri Lankan treats for me to take away and have for my lunch because I was too full 🥹 I unfortunately cut my foot when I was here and walking back from the beach at night, but the host Nishanthi was so caring and brought me cotton pads and bandages to help me wrap it up. I felt super cared for.

Our stay at Sri Lankashire Guest House was excellent. From the moment we arrived, they were incredibly kind and welcoming. Before we left, they even gave us a small souvenir, which was such a lovely and thoughtful gesture. The breakfast was absolutely amazing — without a doubt the best we had in Sri Lanka. The quality and quantity of food were incredible, truly outstanding. She, especially, was extremely kind and helpful with us throughout our stay. She went out of her way to help us order dinner when we were having trouble with our phone. In the end, when we didn’t order because it seemed too expensive, they kindly offered us their own dinner, which was an incredibly generous gesture that we will never forget. The room was very comfortable and had a great terrace, perfect to relax. The location is also very good, very close to the beach. They also helped us with transport, even taking us by tuk-tuk to exchange money without charging extra, which we really appreciated. Overall, a wonderful experience thanks to their kindness and hospitality. We highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again. Than you for all. Claudia and Pablo

Wonderful place to stay. The best we have been looked after in any hotel I've ever stayed in. The people are amazing, they couldn't do enough for us. Really lovely people. The rooms are stunning, so large. We had an enormous balcony where we were served an incredible breakfast. Location is perfect, right across the road from a lovely beach. the owner even took us across to sort us out some free sun beds. Would recommend to anyone to stay here. I hope I get to stay here again in the future

The hosts were amazing. Couldn’t do enough for us ! They even welcomed us with a lei of flowers at a 2.30 am check in! The best breakfast (served to our balcony ) during 3 months of travel, presented to perfection, and so much that it lasted us all day. Beach across the road, 2 mins walk! Great to have a fridge and kettle with tea/coffee 😊Would def return and for much longer next time. Lovely people ❤️🥰

The house is incredibly clean and well kept, the rooms beautifully presented and breakfast on the balcony is a highlight every day. Wasantha also provides a great service with his tuk tuk taking us shopping, to the bank and to dinner - as well as organising a river safari. Just across the road from a fantastic beach. Thoroughly recommended.

Hosting was exceptional, we got welcome drinks and even a goodbye gift. Breakfast was abundant and we could have it on our own balcony. Room was spacious and had a nice ambient. The beach is 5 minutes walking.

Exceptional stay in Bentota! Everything about our stay was amazing. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, and the location is perfect — close to the beach and everything you need. But what truly makes this place special are the hosts, Wasantha and Nishanthi. Their hospitality is on another level. They helped us with absolutely everything — from catching the bus to Galle, arranging a river safari, recommending great restaurants, even guiding us on where to buy authentic cinnamon. And of course, the endless tuk-tuk rides whenever we needed them! They made us feel completely taken care of throughout our stay. If you’re coming to Bentota, this is the place to stay. Highly recommended!

The most incredible stay to finish our trip. The hosts were really fantastic, from the moment we entered we felt truly welcomed and their kindness didn’t go unnoticed. All the little extras they offered blew us away, and we left sad not having spent more time here. The rooms were huge, clean and had everything you needed and the breakfast was amazing especially sat on the terrace. Thanks again for the best stay and cannot wait to return!

One of the best stays on our Sri Lanka trip! The breakfast was exceptional, always with freshly pressed juice and fresh fruits. The hosts are incredibly friendly, welcoming us with flowers and refreshments, and personally seeing us off. The accommodation is spotless and beautifully decorated with attention to detail. We would book again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it!

The couple who own this guest house are wonderfully kind and friendly hosts. Our room was spotless and was beautifully presented with fresh flowers. We had a balcony where we were served the most delicious and generous breakfast. The beach is 2 minutes walk away across the road where there is a restaurant/bar with sun loungers ( free if you eat or drink something). We loved this place… could have stayed much longer. We’ll be back.

Exceptionally attentive and welcoming staff, beautiful flowers and plants

Hands down one of the best accomodations we had during a month trip to sri lanka. The owners are great people who will do anything so you feel comfortable. The breakfast was extraordinary. There is a nice beach 1 minute distance walking. would definitely stay here for many days if we get back to sri lanka!

“Beautiful place with wonderful hosts”

A very nice room close to the beach with very responsive and attentive hosts. They picked us up from the airport, waited up till 1am to receive our lost luggage and found us a place to stay with friends to wait for that luggage as they were fully booked the next day. Very happy to arrange any tours or activities to do. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast on the balcony was amazing, both in terms of food as in the view.
