“Amazingly stay”

We loved everything about this property. Room was very clean and comfortable. Great pool. Owner was very friendly and helpful , we had a great breakfast. Only a few minutes walk away from the beach and restaurants.

“Perfect accomodation for our first visit to Sri Lanka.”

We liked everything about this property. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and spotless. A warm pool is right outside your door and comfortable sunbeds are available. The gardens are filled with birds, fruit trees and other home grown produce. Communication from the host is excellent as are his breakfasts and help with shopping, booking restaurants etc. The property is in a very good location. 5 minutes from the beautiful beach and tuk tuks which can take you to numerous restaurants. It is at the quieter end of the beach but an easy walk to facilities at the other end. We loved our stay here.

“Beautiful and peaceful”

Large rooms built as individual bungalows set in beautiful gardens, just over the road from the beach and a fantastic beach restaurant. The pool is clean and large, and the breakfasts were fantastic and you had a choice of foods and lots of fresh fruits. The owner Nuwan was really helpful, providing a late check out and tuk tuk transport. We would definitely stay here again as only 300 LKR to the Center of Bentota by tuk tuk, or a 40 min walk along the beach.

The owner was a genuinely nice guy.

“Outstanding purpose built rooms”

Generous room set in beautiful large garden with pool. Host was always available, friendly and helpful organising tours and forward travel as needed. Great conversation, delicious local breakfast provided & excellent local recommendations. Relaxing way to start our new year; we loved this accommodation.

Fantastic location and beautiful hotel which felt like a little oasis. Great bedrooms, breakfast and pool surrounded by lush gardens. The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming.

“Beach side oasis! Highly recommended”

An absolutely wonderful stay from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly, kind, and genuinely thoughtful — nothing was ever too much trouble even tuk tuk rides late at night. They even did our washing, which was a weight taken off our shoulders. Breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious, made with care and a huge portion. One of our favourite parts of the stay was spending time in the beautiful, manicured garden by the pool — such a peaceful and relaxing space. We felt truly looked after and can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. We would happily stay again!

Our stay in Sanda Eliya Resort was wonderful. The accommodation was very good, everything was clean, and the environment was nice and relaxing. Nuyan was fantastic — always helpful with everything we needed. He explained many things about Sri Lanka and local life, which made our stay even more special. We really enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this place.

Beautiful setting, gorgeous green garden surrounding the pool, very private, quick walk to the beach. Super friendly and helpful host and delicious breakfast (you won’t need lunch afterwards)

“Modern bungalows in a lovely garden”

Modern bungalows in a calm and beautiful garden. You can spot a variety of birds and other animals in the garden. The owner is very helpful and overall a really nice person. He helped us book tables at restaurants, fixed taxis or drove us himself when we needed. The breakfast is great. You will not need to eat lunch.

“Amazing place!”

We loved our stay at Sanda Eliya! The cabin we had was very spacious, clean and luxurious. We loved it so much we decided to stay a few days longer. Owner Nuwan was super kind and helpful, always in for a chat and helped us book tours, taxis etc. He made us feel at home immediately. The garden is very green with lots of animals that can be spotted throughout the day - we saw birds, lizards and even a tortoise! Also the large swimmingpool with sunbeds was amazing during the hot summer days. We loved the location of the accomodation, it is across the road from the beach and just outside of the busy city of Bentota. 10/10 would recommend.

“Perfect place to stay, would recommend”

Clean, tidy, in great condition throughout. Great bed, great facilities in the room. Bathroom was good and shower was good. We loved Sammon the Tuk Tuk driver who was so obliging, informative and friendly. The owner seems very committed to upgrading the hotel to an even higher standard and is heading in the right direction.

Really nice quiet place with excellent view of the nature, close to a good beach and nice restaurant and drive to the city, excellent large pool, excellent clean spacious hut, small attention to details like remote controlled fan and AC and sockets next to bed, in the Nature but no crawlies in the room, clean large beach towels, excellent changing breakfast, personalized attention

“Perfect place to stay”

We have spend here 14 days. It’s really perfect place if you are looking for calmness and quiet place. Very friendly owner or manager, great pool and traditional breakfast. Every morning the asian palm civet walking on the property.

“Excellent”

The Host Nuwan went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. He was very easy to communicate with and was very helpful with suggestions of things to see and do in the area. Suban the tuk tuk driver and helper at the hotel took us on an excellent tour of the area and was very friendly and easy to communicate with. Breakfast here was amazing and well worth the price. I would highly recommend staying here.

This place is run by a lovely guy who couldn't be more helpful. The room was spotless and large with a very comfortable bed. Fabulous breakfast!

“awesome”

Our stay was perfect in this place - from the 1st minute we met the host till the minute we left. We even prolonged our stay. The place is beautiful - design, swimming pool, nature. You really can feel the surrounding nature, but at the same time very safe. The special thing is awesome breakfast served. Many thanks to the host - Nuwan, who really cares about his guests. He spent a lot of time with us, telling interesting things about his country, helping with some shopping & transport. We even made our own spice to take home with us and went to night crabs hunting on the beach !!!
