Stand-alone small bungalow in a beautiful lush garden, ten minute walk from the beach. Clean, airy and comfortable. Friendly owner who arranged a tuk tuk for me when I left.

Good size villa, a lot more than we were expecting. The host was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing.

The host was really friendly and was always on hand to help (for example, when I stupidly locked myself out!). Overall, a great place to stay for 3 nights.

The location to the beach was fantastic. We timed it - under 3 minutes. Having the complete downstairs villa to ourselves meant that it was very spacious. The breakfast brought each morning by the host was great. The shower was great and the host’s desire to please could not be faulted. The air conditioning is in the bedroom only but that didn’t worry us at all - just work around it. In the evening you can either walk up to the road towards the centre to find an eating place or across the railway line …no more than 15 minutes either way. Little kiosks/shops on the road above the villa for water etc. The host has great advice for places to visit and will happily organise tuk tuks for you. In terms of the beach - wow you have the beach to yourself. If you’d like a sun bed turn right and walk for 5 minutes past the rocks and you’ll find them. Great places to eat within 15 minutes: Vintage, Nova and Esprit. It’s worth remembering that the relative cost of the villa is low and value for money is great. It’s always difficult to rate things as you can’t always compare like for like.

Beautiful house. Clean and comfortable beds. It is located right beside the beach and lots of good places to eat. The host Sunil was very kind and provided water and towels on arrival as well as offering help with any taxis or activities you might want to do.

I didn't stay there since i felt very bad vibes on arrival. The host was rude and brought me to another place. When I tried to talk to him he was interrupting me. Didn't feel comfortable and too far from everything so I left.

Very nice people, excellent breakfast, hot shower, kitchen have utensils, very clean. Very closed to the beach. We feel like we are at home. Thank you for your hospitality

The owners are very friendly. We had a sunburn, they taught us how to treat the burn from the aloe that grew in their garden, the owners offered to take the leaves. It helped us a lot! We were also treated carambola fruits that grew in their garden. it was very pleasant for us)

Safe and peaceful place, in the countryside but very close to restaurants, shops, the railway station and the beach. Owner Sunil is very friendly and helpful. Good wifi and aircon. Totally independent and undisturbed. Highly recommended

Very chill area, 2 min away from a great beach spot with very few people around. The room was nice, spacious and clean. Very good price for the quality/location!

The host was very hospitable, flexible and helpful. He waited for us to check-in till very late at night. He brought us traditional home-made cookies at the New Year's Eve. He also gave us a ride to the airport at midnight. The accomodation was clean and only 5mins from one of the most beautiful beaches in Sri Lanka. Breakfast was also very good.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Sanasuma Villa. The apartment was clean and spacious with a lovely garden. Very close to the beach. Mr. Assalaarachchi and his family were extremely friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here and will certainly be returning on my visit to Bentota.

“Wonderful stay with friendly hosts”

Beautiful room with a large fan and mosquito net over the bed. Location was close to the beach. The hosts were wonderful and the breakfast was delicious ( the home made pancakes were so tasty ) We only booked one night and wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend
