Jungle Fence is a great place to stay. It is surrounded by lush green foliage making it a peaceful setting. Sitting on the balcony, spotting all kinds of wildlife that included monkeys, chipmunks, civets and an array of birds, we felt close to nature. Dolitha our host was wonderful, he welcomed us on arrival and made sure we had everything we needed. The room was clean and air conditioned. The bed linen was clean and fresh soft towels were provided. About a 200 metre walk away from Jungle Fence beakfast was served in the families home garden, which was a beautiful setting for breakfast, again surrounded by nature. The breakfast was delicious and very filling and was served by Dolitha's wife who was very warm and hospitable to us. Dolitha introduced us to his beautiful family, who made us feel welcomed in their home, engaging in conversation with us. He even took the time to show us round his garden explaining the different medicinal plant varieties, fruit trees and spices he had growing. The property is about a 5 minute walk to the beach and the local bars/restaurants. It was truly a wonderful stay and we would definitely recommend this place to stay if you want peace, tranquility and good value for money.

We wholeheartedly recommend this place! During our trip to Sri Lanka, we stayed in eight different accommodations, but this one was by far the best. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and the view from the balcony was absolutely breathtaking — every morning we were greeted by monkeys, squirrels, and birds.🥰 However, the true highlight was the food. The breakfasts and dinners prepared by our host were simply outstanding — the best meals we had throughout our entire stay on the island. Every day we were treated to traditional Sri Lankan dishes, and each meal felt like a feast for the senses. What made this stay even more special was the host himself. Not only was he warm and welcoming, but he also had incredible knowledge about nature. We learned so much from him about the local environment, and his passion was truly inspiring.♥️ This wasn’t just a place to sleep — it was a heartwarming experience. We felt like we were staying with family. Thank you for everything!🥰

“Fantastic stay and delicious food!”

That was a fantastic stay! Extremely friendly and honest owners. They do their best to make your stay as good as possible. They speak English so there is no problem to communicate. There was no problem to check in late evening- the owner waited for us. What makes this place even more exceptional is the food and cuisine. The breakfast were really tasty but the dinners…mniam, delicious. Everyday we could order dinner and choose one pic of two dishes. The portions were huge, food was fresh- directly from the market place and prepared with the highest taste and standard. I will not forget the taste of the tuna ❤️ The price was really good comparing to other places in the city. Thank you for hosting us and we expect to be back!

It's an amazing place with beautiful scenic views. The hotel is neat and clean and the staff is very very polite and they take care of customers very well. They serve food as well which is delicious. Had a great time at Jungle Fence. Must visit.

We loved this place because its quiet and close to the nature, one morning we saw a monkey from our balconey. A bit like beeing in the countryside/djungle, but only a few minutes away from the lovely beach and restaurants. The owner and his daughter was really helpful and kind to us, and the breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay here again
