The facility is a charming one. Meant for small families and anyone who is looking for peaceful environment away from city, this is where you need to go. Very clean room and bathroom. And breakfast was exceptional and awesome, great home cooked food. Great host.

Dinesh was the ultimate host. Nothing was too much for him. He ran us everywhere in his tuktuk. The room and bedding was spotlessly clean

The hosts, the room, the breakfast, the garden, the terrace, the beach, nearly perfekt especially when comparing to other locations wE had in Sri Lanka.

Beautiful room. Lovely garden/ verandah for a beautiful breakfast. So professional, kind. Excellent hosts. I loved this lovely place. Close to beach, turtles, lake and river safaris, and other attractions. Relaxing. Peaceful setting. Comfy bed. The shower was hot and great water pressure! ( not the case eveywhere, which I understand and it's been fine...but this shower was the best I have had in Sri Lanka so I was pretty happy about it!)

Clean, comfortable room, nice terrace in a nice garden with many birds and animals, also many mosquitoes but the bed has a mosquitoe net. The host is lovely, he drove us around a lot with his tuktuk and explained us many things, and the breakfast was also nice.

Nice and very clean rooms, calm garden, very nice and attentive host. I felt very comfortable as a woman travelling alone. Beach is in 5min walking distance. Good breakfast on the terrace.

Dinesh was a fantastic host & very welcoming. He let us check in early after a long flight. Excellent breakfast, peaceful setting amongst nature, 10 minutes walk to a beautiful quiet beach. Accommodation was spotlessly clean, beautifully & well furnished including a fridge. Highly recommend this homestay. Sad to leave after 5 days here

Most of all Dinesh and his family were fantastically hospitable and helpful. In addition the room is comfortable, spotlessly clean, in a quiet neighbourhood, and also handy for the beach and close to the edge of town and the river.

The calm and quiet surrounding, clean and tidy bedroom and bathroom, convenience of location (close to the main road/not too far from the Bentota town), friendly host, and most of all Value for Money! We were attending a wedding at a nearby hotel and the host kindly let us back into the room even after checking out earlier in the day so that we could freshen up before our long journey back home.

The hosts are very caring, generous, hospitable and friendly people. They drove me to Restaurants and the beach for free. The breakfast is very good and freshly made by his wife. The room is clean and in a good condition, especially in the bathroom you have a lot of space.

“Lovely villa”

I would say that Charika Villa is just a perfect example of hospitality. The room is lovely, the furniture is new and pleasant to use, and the bathroom is great size and even has a heater. The host is amazingly supportive. He found us a great surf instructor and helped us with transport but never promoted unwanted services. The breakfast was also great and peacocks and squirrels running around were so lovely. If you are looking for a place where you can rest you mind - that is a great choice.

Countryside villa with a couple of spanking new double rooms offering B&B services at Bentota. Located in a quiet neighbourhood off the A2 highway and a short walk to the clean, quiet, nice beach. All fittings, furnishing and bath were neat and modern, matching description and pictures available at this website, including the four-poster bed ! Very welcoming and supportive host family. We enjoyed the continental breakfast with fresh local fruits and excellent coffee. We spent one night there and recommend Charika Villa for a stay at Bentota.

This place is an absolute gem! I arrived here with no expectations and was stunned to find a beautiful, upmarket , immaculately clean villa, 5 minutes walk from the beach . The owner cannot do enough to make your stay memorable which included driving us to a spectacular fish restaurant in his tuk tuk. I had the best nights sleep I’ve had since being here in Sri Lanka in the most fabulous,most enormous four poster bed I’ve ever been in ! Value for money is simply outstanding!

Our best accommodation in Sri Lanka so far! Our room was in absolutely mint condition, superclean and tastfully furnished. The bathroom is fantastic! We enjoyed it very much! The host family is so nice and caring and all things are done with love and passion for every detail!
