Rest Pause is a good place for a quick getaway. You'll enjoy the peace and quiet and the sound of the fauna in the surrounding area is quite welcoming.

We had a wonderful and memorable stay. The place was beautiful, cozy, and very comfortable. The warm hospitality provided by the caretaker made our experience even more special. Ms. Dorene, the owner was especially helpful, friendly, and attentive throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

Very responsive hosts and having the friendly caretakers on site was very helpful. The house was well appointed with facilities and comfortable beds. Cleanliness was also very good, and the caretakers completed their tasks as notified such as setting up the BBQ and for serving breakfast. Overall, a great retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city in a calm, serene location.

A hidden gem in Janda Baik! Spacious, cozy and kid friendly. My family had a wonderful time enjoying the river and the beautiful garden. The balcony view is the highlight of the stay. The house itself is very big with complete all the amenities you needed. The host and the caretakers are very attentive to us. Quick reply to our inquiries and really helpful. Thank you for rhe hospitality.

“Perfect place for small family and friends gathering”

We fell in love with this bungalow that comes with an amazing view. Great hospitality from the caretakers, they were very friendly and helpful. We did a small birthday celebration we loved everything about the bungalow. The owner is very detail about catering to guest needs. In terms of kitchen utensils and items. Each corner of the house is well designed and ample of space to chill out. Not to say the view was amazing, very quiet an serene with the sound of the water gushing in the river. No complains except the insect and mosquitos which can't be avoided if you are chilling at their verandah.

Rest Pause Rainforest Retreat is truly a hidden gem! The space was incredibly cozy and well-maintained, with all the necessary facilities to make our stay comfortable. We had an amazing time making BBQ under the moonlit sky, enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The staff was exceptionally helpful and welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed. One of the highlights was playing with the adorable pet dogs, which added such a homely touch to the experience. We also loved venturing to the river and immersing ourselves in the beauty of nature. For book lovers like me, the collection of books available was a dream come true! Dorena, the kind and attentive host, took my food allergies seriously, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. I also loved the scrumptious breakfast!

Nestled in a rainforest which made a fantastic location away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Location was easy to find with adequate signs and a pdf that the host provided before so we wouldn't get lost.

The place and surrounding was beautiful. Truly a place to rest and relax. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The retreat is very quiet with sound of birds chirping and water running down the cascading rocks at the stream. It is very calming. Bawi, the caretaker is a bonus. He is jovial & friendly, on top of he is a good handyman around. We had a great time

Host was very communicative and helpful before, during, and after the trip offering lots of recommendations for activities and answering any questions we had. The house itself is better than expected! Beautiful view, lots of space, and very peaceful. The property caretakers were very kind and made a delicious nasi lemak breakfast for everyone in the morning!

“Wonderful home stay experience. Great time to bond with friends and family.”

It was my 3rd visit to Rest. Pause. Rainforest Retreat. It was still as fantastic an experience as the first time I visited. The host, Dorena managed all communication really well. The home still had a homey, quaint feeling to it. Though old, the home was pleasantly clean. You can tell that there are efforts to continue refurbishing the place in little ways, and that the place is cleaned where possible. The BBQ fire was set up for us. There was Astro with an almost complete selection of channels (so I could cry over Manchester United losing to Crystal Palace). The beds were comfy and the blankets were thick (I've stayed in places with thin blankets that barely provided any cover). It rained the afternoon we stayed, so if you opened the window at night, it would have been quite cooling, no air cond necessary. Breakfast was pleasant, we had nasi lemak. The rice was fragrant and loved by my colleagues. Personally, was more a fan of the sambal which others found a tad bit spicy.
