“A perfect, peaceful stay, worth experiencing.”
Probably the best short getaway I've had in recent years. I just got back and I'm already missing it. The location is perfect. My room had a private balcony right over the river, completely surrounded by trees. The privacy was amazing, really feel like you're in your own little world. A few other things I loved: Thoughtful Staff: They were so accommodating and made sure my mom had a room without stairs, which we really appreciated. No Wifi: This was a surprise highlight. It was so nice to truly disconnect and relax. Worth It: I would have stayed longer if I could!

“Exceptional, truly a breath of fresh air”
The peace and serenity in the woods. The chalet was comfy for our family of 2 adults and 1 toddler. Everything you need is provided, all you need to do is enjoy your time with your loved ones surrounded by nature. Caretakers were also very attentive and helpful. Would definitely return again soon!

“I loved the nature of course, but also its stillness and simplicity; and would gladly go back for more!”
It is an hour from KL and therefore easily accessible, yet once inside the retreat, it’s a haven away from the city desert, heat and dusty glare. Quite lush with a river running through one side of it, this retreat is a necessary green lung that soothes and reminds you how essential our jungle—nature—is to our wellbeing. The chalet had everything we needed from a stove, crockery, cutlery, drinking water, fans, toiletries and mosquito coils to hot water in the shower(!) Nothing extravagant; instead perfectly simple and just what we needed. I felt it was well managed, and quite well thought out. The caretakers are responsive and never intrusive. The retreat is called Gibbon Retreat and I was relieved to hear some gibbons singing through the treetops in the morning. This despite some dismaying quarrying and destruction of a mountainside nearby. Last but not least, just to point out that while there are almost a dozen chalets (if I’m not mistaken) on the property, you feel you have privacy and your own space to just be.
