“Excellent”

I've stayed here several times before. The hotel has had an excellent recent makeover earlier this year. This hotel meets my requirements exactly . Clean, quiet and well run. Breakfasts are exactly what I require but if you are from Britain it may not be to your taste. (No English breakfast but restaurants in the same street can do this). The staff are wonderful, chatty and helpful. Close to the station in Arroyo. Reasonable walk down hill to Benalmadena. Not that far from the famous Bonanza Square but it is uphill on the way back. There are a good range of low to high range restaurants very close by. I can especially recommend going for a drink in the nearby Fountain Square (It has other names what can cause a wee bit of confusion). Very very pleasant in the evening. The train to Malaga can be very busy but the crush is worth it. Fantastic range of Museums there. Get an Andalusia travel card from the station which will make the use of local buses and trains easy. My only travel hack is take a taxi to and from the airport. The trains are so busy it's a challenge to get on/off at the airport.

Clean place, good facilities

Great central location. Near buses, station, bars, restaurants and shops. Fully refurbished to a high standard. Lovely staff. Nice terrace and bar area. Clean.

The location its perfect. Close to shops and restaurants. Only 18 min to the beach. We checked in early than 3 pm. was around 1pm.

“Great little hotel in a convenient location for train station to airport”

Absolutely spotless room with small single bed, TV, desk and chair. A/c and extra blanket if needed. Good shower. Very friendly and welcoming staff. I had a takeaway drink which I wanted to leave with my luggage on checkout and staff very helpfully kept it in the fridge for me. Great reception area with sofas, chairs and TV. Superb location about 3 minutes walk from Arroyo de la Miel train station where there is also a taxi rank. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby. About a 20 minute walk to the beach.

The staff is adorable and run the premises in spotless conditions. Special mention to Paloma who has been absolutely helpful from my first contact until departure. Very efficient and caring . Lovely place and great people. Definitely I would highly recommend this Hostal

“A gem of a hotel for its class”

My expectations were aligned to how the accommodation was described and named (Hostal) on the booking.com site, and they were met and exceeded. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The no frills room (double room with a balcony) and whole hotel was exceptionally clean and daily service meant I returned every day to a bedroom and bathroom in pristine condition. The location was perfect with 200 metres to the Renfe cercanias station, which enabled easy access to Malaga and other resort towns. The beach is just over one km away, so maybe not ideal location for those who plan to spend a lot of time sunbathing. There were plenty of bars and restaurants around the area. Being on a pedestrianised street and the windows double glazed there was very little noise - however, the atrium was open to the street and other floors so therefore not all noise could be eliminated; but one has to take into account the Spanish lifestyle. All in all, for the class of hotel advertised this is a gem! Basic Spanish breakfast was available at a very reasonable rate from the bar.
