“A wonderful experience in every way”

A beautiful place, off the beaten track, in the heart of the Mekong. Huy upgraded me to the family suite, a beautiful teak bungalow with a large covered terrace. The dining room is lovely too, and outdoor spaces are lovely too. I was the only guest for my three day stay, and Huy took care of me throughout, inviting me for dinner with friends for two evenings and cooking dinner for me on the last evening when we had a great chat. His English is excellent. Huy organised a half day river trip, with his cousin (or niece?), who was delightful and informative, lent me his scooter for an afternoon, and drove me to my bus at the end of the stay. It was the most authentic experience of Vietnamese life of my whole stay, with genuinely friendly people as curious about me as I was about them. I was unsure how much I would be charged for the many "extras", but I only paid for the evening meal, and the boat excursion, both very reasonable.

Fantastic stay!

Nice food: breakfast lunch dinner. Made a Mekong tour through narrow rivers. The owner Huy took me on his motorbike to Vinh tranh Pagoda. Fantastic. I could borrow a kettle so I could make my own coffee in The morning. Extremely friendly plac.

“Unique stay in a stunning location”

Super quirky and rustic property that made you feel like you were in the middle of nowhere. I loved the remoteness of the place and immediately felt relaxed. The hosts were amazing and went out of their way to show us around, suggest activities and bought child friendly food.

Breakfast and diner were very delicious. Thanks! The evenings were great with talks and Karaoke, thank you Huy! We did a great boat tour and a tour to the Khmer area wit Huy. Both tours were very nice including many information about culture and country.

“Excellent stay”

The place is beautifully done up and nestled among wonderful nature. The rooms are comfortable, and the host is incredibly gracious. He arranged for us to have a boat ride and see the area, and meals and even had breakfast for us when we left very early the next day. He also helped arrange a taxi for us to leave early since the place is very remote. We had a great time here.

The location is AMAZING!! Outside of the busy city in a quiet side street with coconut trees all around you. The room we had was huge which a nice outdoor bathroom. Great common areas and multiple hammocks where you can relax. Definitely do the boat tour with the small boat! So so nice drive through beautiful surroundings. Also the food is amazing and we had a very fun karaoke night :)

Hui was a great host and took us for a personal trip on a small boat on the river. Both he and his wife were very generous and we had a fabulous meal cooked by his wife with plentiful beer. don’t worry about your bill - it will be less than you think! Thank you Hui for taking us to My Tho - I wish you would have accepted some money!!

“Excellent, real life Mekong”

Huy was an excellent host and his wife is so lovely and an excellent cook. Beds were a bit hard but very clean and air conditioned. His trips were fantastic and we were able to see the real Mekong - shrimps straight out of the net of the fishing boat cooked for us on the boat, canoeing down the narrow canals. His wife taught us to make local food and cooked a fish we caught in the river outside our room. All tasted amazing. Very interesting to be able to talk to him about real life in Vietnam. Everyone loved the karaoke!
