“Peaceful Rustic Farmstay in the Mekong Delta”

Ben Tre Farm Stay is a lovely quiet retreat only a couple of hours from the chaos of HCMC. We arrived late as we had done a tour to the Cu Chi tunnels in the afternoon, but Đúc and Quyên very kindly offered to make us some food which was delicious and most appreciated. The cabins are basic but comfortable - a/c works well and they had good mosquito nets for the beds (though we didn't see any - probably as it was the dry season) . Some have hammocks outside too. The grounds are a little haven next to the river - lots of lovely plants (beware of low hanging fruit on the paths). Đúc and Quyên are clearly working hard to maintain and update the property - chairs being painted, plants being planted. Breakfasts were the typical omelette and bread, with fruit and tea) coffee freely available. Beer and cold drinks were always available on an 'honesty bar' basis. They booked us on a boat tour (interesting coconut centred industry) with another group of guests which kept the price down - and in the morning we set off on the farm stay's bikes to the Ben Tre boat station. The bikes were basic and a little run-down but perfectly OK for the flat landscape - we took them out later on too to cycle through the villlages and find a spot for lunch. It's about a 20 minute walk into Ben Tre centre - we weren't really very taken with the town, but that's not the farm stay's fault. A grab bike back is only about 15k vnd. Overall a great spot for a couple of quiet days in the Mekong Delta, and good value.

Extremely friendly and helpful owners and staff. Comfortable beds with mosquito netting. Good food, and free drinking water. Laundry service. They organize tours (which are good), but they are not pushy to join anything. Will help with bus tickets and such if needed.

This place is nicely located in a more rural area which is perfect to discover the region by bike, which they offer for free. The place is just beautiful, huts in the middle of exotic plants. Duc, the host, was very nice and helpful for transport and tours. The food is also very delicious in the restaurant. We can definitely recommend the place for a visit of the Mekong.

Beautiful place by the Mekong river. I almost regret staying only one night, I would have loved to stay longer. The hosts are super friendly, smiling, warm and helpful, and they speak English. The place is peaceful, surrounded by nature, flowrs and fruit trees, really beautiful and relaxing. The food is very good. Everything is very clean. Dogs are super cute and friendy. I travel a lot and this stay was truly a highlight. Highly recommended.

We loved our stay. Location is beautiful, lovely bungalows on a canal, attention to details can be perceived everywhere, overall well organised in stunning nature. Staff was nice and helpful to organise tours and transport. We arrived directly from HCMC by bus as suggested by the owner(one of the best organised experiences we ever had with staff in HMC bus station arranging a private car to take us to the property for free without us having to tell them much). Food was nice with eggs and fruits with bread in the morning and we also had a nice dinner there. Bikes are free to roam around which was the highlight of our stay, together with some chill time on the hammocks in the garden.

Remote but exactly that’s what everyone at this place was looking for. But withing 25mins walk Ben Tre accessible.

The warm and genuine owners and staff are so friendly, even the dogs like you from the start! The food is fantastic and very good value, home made spring rolls are the best The bar, dining area is great for meeting fellow guests and just relaxing The 6 hour boat tour was great, no tourist traps and you get to see exactly how the locals live by and use the river Some people have said it is too isolated but there's not much to do in Ben Tre or nearby so you just need to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet They will help you with transport and anything else you need I broke my glasses but got them fixed in 20 minutes in town with help from Duc There was some nearby karaoke until 9pm one night and yes the local dogs bark at times but if you live anywhere built up you will get worse No mosquitos or other bitey things

“Unique, rustic stay amongst the coconut trees with friendly people”

A lovely location adjacent a canal with quaint timber huts. Our hosts Đúc and Quyên were communicative and helpful, cheap beer and simple but good food. Đúc was able to drive us to our next location in Cai Be for a reasonable price and shared details of his life which made for an interesting conversation. They have two friendly dogs too who liked to join us when walking the path outside. We made good use of the free bikes as well.

I had a wonderful stay at Ben Tre Farm Stay and felt very welcome from the very first moment. The location is surrounded by beautiful nature and is the perfect place to relax. Quyen and Duc are wonderful, warm and very attentive hosts. The entire staff was also very kind and helpful. They organised fantastic tours for me and also my airport transfer, making everything so easy for me. I can't wait to come back. This was a true highlight of my trip in Vietnam.
