Very nice accommodation in great location. Staff very nice and helpful (they even changed the dinner menu for us), the owners are also very nice and approachable. Plenty of activities on offer. The food is very nice. Lots of little critters to be found at night (ask the watchmen, he was very keen to join us spotting help us find what we were after!) They also support various local projects, which is great.

Lovely, quiet location and great food. We stayed for just one night but thoroughly enjoyed it. The sunsets are to die for and the rooms super quiet. Clean bathrooms also a plus.

“An Escape from Commercialism”

To date this was one of the most tranquil and authentic places that I have visited. The boat journey to get there from Morondava (organised by the hotel with easy instructions and timely departures) was worth it just for the view of Madagascar's west coast and its fishing communities. The property's rooms and grounds look even better than the photos suggest and the manager (Jevé) and the staff look after you and feed you very well. We had lots of opportunities to walk around the sandy paths of Belo Sur Mer and across its tidal beaches as well as the fortune of watching some of the local teams play in a beach football tournament. In total we stayed for 4 days but should have booked for longer!

“Paradise location with welcoming staff and excellent beach bungalows!”

Beautiful location - slice of paradise! The staff and owners were very accommodating and even upgraded us to a bigger bungalow as it was our honeymoon! The room was spotless, spacious and decorated well. It was pleasing to read that the bungalows had been built using locally sourced materials and staying there was helping to fund school facilities in the village. Portions were large and delicious at the restaurant - mostly seafood dishes, caught that day. We organised a day trip with them to kirindy mitea and to a deserted island for snorkelling and fish lunch which was lovely. Hervé also helped us out by arranging a driver and vehicle to drive us to Tana when our flight was cancelled the night before. Overall a great way to end our honeymoon! Highly recommend and wish we could have stayed longer!

“Little gem at a remote coast in Madagascar”

This charming lodge directly at the beach offers a relaxing athmosphere, tranquility, pure white beaches and spacious rooms. Belu sur Mer is a very remote place, which you have to factor in, but given this the lodge has everything you need to hide from the world, incl. WiFi and great food (try the catch of the day!). Value for money is superb, and staff is very friendly. Highly recommended!

Everything was perfect

This place is heaven. I wish we could have stayed more than one night. Our bungalow was amazing. We loved everything! During our 3 weeks travel through Madagascar, this place was among the top 3 best places we've slept.
