“Home away from home”

One of the best accommodations I've ever stayed in. It really is a home away from home. The staff are super friendly, the place is spotlessly clean, and the beds are made every day (and they're very comfortable). As someone who loves to cook, I found the kitchen perfect and fully equipped. The location is also ideal. I've already stayed here three times and will definitely be back when I'm in Belo Horizonte. I recommend it without hesitation. Thank you again for welcoming me. ☀️

Lovely hostel, one of the best we’ve stayed in Brazil. Clean, spacious, staff are so friendly and helpful (and patient given our lack of Portuguese!) would highly recommend.

“A comfortable stay in a good location.”

There were plenty of communal spaces and bathrooms. The kitchen looked well equipped, though we did not need to use it. It’s reasonably close to the bus station and the mercado Novo (If you haven’t been there, it’s packed full of great places to eat and drink, very popular with the local young people and lively at night.) The staff were very friendly and helpful)

“Friendly, peaceful hostel with a homey wibe!”

I think the best way to describe this place is that you feel there as if you were visiting your aunt’s house or your family. I am traveling since almost 2,5 years and nowhere I felt so well taken care of as in this hostel! All the employees (especially Renata) are so attentive you seriously feel like at home! Also (and this is a side note for fellow introverts) it’s just seamless. Beds are super comfortable, hostel itself is really quiet so you can sleep very well there. There is a nice TV room, big kitchen with everything you can think of, internet is amazing and it’s spotless clean! I mean I seriously think they mop the floor in the bathroom after every guest! IT’S SO CLEAN. I also want to add that I truly appreciate small gestures from theirs side - at the reception desk area they have small table with a flag of Brasil. When I stayed there they also added a Polish flag and I think a Colombian one, because there were some guests from there ❤️ I couldn’t recommend this place more - both for short and longer stays!

“A clean, safe, organized hostel where the staff take great care in everything they do.”

I returned to Rota BH Hostel for a second stay because the hostel is clean, safe, and organized. I also really like the location. The staff were all kind and helpful. Geraldo and Fatima were especially helpful to me. The staff take great care with the facilities, the rooms, the linen, and the guests. I felt very well looked after.

“A safe, clean and well-organized sanctuary in the middle of the city.”

I really appreciated the fact that this hostel is located in the middle of the city, but also feels very safe and well organized within the hostel walls. The hostel entrance is monitored by staff on a 24 hour basis. The hostel also provides lockers for guests to use. There are multiple bathrooms. The rooms are cleaned and beds changed on a regular basis. It really feels like a sancuary in the midst of a bustling city. Going forward, I expect that this will be my default option if I am looking for a bed in this location.

Very nice staff but no english spoken (they used a translator and were patient so it was ok), amazing bed, clean, great kitchen, great bathrooms. Perfect hostel.

“One of the best hostels in Brazil.”

Probably one of those stays that made me realise that despite of language barriers, goodness is with us all. The owner of the hostel was a lovely man who did all he could to make my two-day stay memorable and comfortable. Facilities were topnotch. The kitchen was of the highest standard. Toilets were always clean. There was a free large towel for every guest! Location was superb. The hostel was more of a boutique hotel than a regular hostel. The best place to stay in Belo Horizonte!

I was alone in the room, which was great! I didn't expect that. The place is well located, close to the central area. The staff is so helpful. The let me work after my check out time, and even gave me free popcorn! Thank you so much!

I felt really welcomed at this hostel. The staff went out of their way to make me feel at home and comfortable there. I felt this way on my first visit, and it felt great to return a week later and encounter the same friendly people. The hostel was always clean (though the friends returned with and I made a bit of a mess in the kitchen, the staff immediately helped us clean it up). I will certainly stay there again on my next trip to BH.

The hostel is spacious and tastefully decorated, with several comfortable living areas for dining or conversing with other guests. Staff was welcoming and attentive. At night, the room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. Security is good, and the place was always impeccably clean and well-organized.

Location is great - 10 minutes walk from both the Central Market and JK Bus terminus. Facilities are super clean - the staff mop several times per day. Beds are comfy. The common area gets lots of natural light - it's like being in an open-air co-working space. Staff were very kind - often checking in to see if they could help with anything.

Nice place, large bathrooms. 15 minutes walk from the bus terminal. Free soap and towel.
