“Week in Belmullet”

Very friendly owner with a lovely welcome. Even had the kettle boiling for me on arrival.

The cottage was cosey, comfortable and spotless. We had everything we needed there and the host had even left us breakfast cereals, milk and muffins. We felt very comfortable there. The cottage was in a perfect location - we walked into Belmullet for the day and drove to Black Sod. It was such a peaceful and quiet stay for us and we slept so well.

Great place to stay with a truly fabulous, friendly, accommodating, and welcoming host. This was the best stay of our 9-day road trip, during which we stayed somewhere different every night. The fully equipped kitchen was a huge bonus, as we could finally cook a hot homemade breakfast with omelettes, toast, salad, and tea. Our host, Carmel, even gifted us muffins, which was such a thoughtful gesture. It was also a very quiet place, and we finally had a great night’s sleep after a tiring week. This is not to mention the excellent and convenient location, close to tidal pools, and great hiking trails. The facilities in the cottage exceeded our expectations, and considering the price, it was far better than many of the other places we stayed. Unfortunately, the washing machine was unavailable during our stay as it had apparently been damaged by previous guests, which is such a shame. It’s disappointing when people are inconsiderate of someone else’s property, especially when Carmel is such a thoughtful and welcoming host. She was also incredibly responsive and accommodating, even offering to help us with our laundry. To be honest, for the price we paid, we weren’t expecting laundry facilities anyway, so this certainly didn’t affect our wonderful stay. Overall, it’s excellent value for money and a comfortable stay, with a host who truly makes you feel welcome.

The place was lovely and very clean. The bed was so comfy. Carmel was very nice. There were muffins and milk in the fridge for a cup of tea. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you so much.

Welcoming - Carmel had muffins and the kettle boiled for me on arrival. She was very helpful in acquainting me with what I wanted to know about the local amenities. Comfortable layout, kitchen well stocked in terms of appliances and utensils. Near beautiful scenery, beaches, walks and the local town with restaurants and shops. Very quiet, which was excellent. Carmel was a brilliant host, she had the kettle boiled and some muffins left in, as well as a cupboard full of cereal for breakfast and milk which was brilliant. She even double checked the cottage for me after I thought I’d left something behind and was so kind

Lovely, comfortable, warm , relaxing, clean. Its great for a retreat too as you will have everything you need for a quiet relaxing spot to work from. You are provided with everything you need. There was milk in the fridge as well ! Less than 30 min walk to the village.
