A fantastic stay. Good location, good value, room is fine, everything works. Using the kitchen is a bonus. Charming and welcoming owners. Food and supermarket not far away.

We enjoyed staying at this quirky guest house. We were warmly met by the friendly owner and had plenty of space to hang out for the day we were there, waiting to catch a shuttle to Belize City. I say quirky because in our mini apartment, there was a bed in the kitchen ( as well as our bed in the bedroom), and there is an old US school bus in the garden. But it felt quirky rather than derelict. It's a 5min taxi ride to the bus terminal in town or a 20-minute walk. We chose the Taxi option. It's also close to a good bakery, and you can see the supermarket from the hammocks in the garden. There is a fabulous restaurant called Hambre which is a 20 min walk.

Chris was an exceptional,friendly, and knowledgable host. It was lovely to have my own 'apartment' with a tv too. The large shady outside area with lawn was great to just hang. A cement path gives an easy stroll to the centre of town. Supermarket, bakery and fruit shop all nearby. Marta, the owner was very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend staying there.

“Generosity”

Chris and Marta were so helpful and answered any questions we had. Chris cut down coconuts, and we drank fresh coconut milk and also showed us the plants he was growing in the yard. He picked bananas for us to enjoy. He was thoughtful, and we noticed he was a great problem-solver for all the guests' queries. Marta stopped in after her workday and always had time for a visit and had great suggestions for things we might like to do. We would love to come back again 🫠

Kitchen facilities were great. Hammock and chairs outside to use.. Owner arrived later to make sure we were OK which was nice. Short walk to store, ATM and bakery.

Full kitchen was impressive with coffee and tea but the good freezer enabled me to freeze a big bottle of water for my travels in the heat the following day

The room I had was comfortable, the staff are very friendly and very knowledgable about the area, there is a shop near by and local restaurants a short walk.
