“Great place to stay”

Beautiful historic building with renovated, comfortable and clean rooms. Armanda greeted us with a smile and great hospitality. Everything was perfect and we will stay again in Casa 1885 next time when we are travelling to the Dolomites.

Casa 1885 is something special. It's a historic 1885 farmhouse tucked away on a quiet hamlet in the Dolomites, and the owner, Armanda, has lovingly preserved countless objects from the families who once lived here — farmers, stonemasons, shoemakers, carpet weavers. It's like sleeping inside a museum, except you actually live in it: you feel the history, you see the old photographs, and the whole place has a wonderfully cozy, authentic soul. Armanda is a gracious and warm host. After a long day of hiking under the hot sun, she welcomed us with cold juice and a cold beer — honestly the best we've ever had. The room was simple, charming, and decorated in the old style, with a big comfortable bathroom. Breakfasts were delicious, with homemade pastries. On our last morning we had to leave very early, so she prepared breakfast the night before and left it in the fridge for us — a small, thoughtful gesture that says everything about her hospitality. It's a peaceful, genuine place and a lovely base for exploring the mountains. We left with the best memories and would happily return. Highly recommended!

Casa 1885 is the best place to stay for visiting Belluno, Feltre (a beautiful medieval city) and the Bellunese Dolomites. Casa 1885 is a home away from home in a very well refurbished and decorated old house in a small and well located village. Armanda is the best of hostesses, and her breakfast is just amazing. More than a breakfast it is a brunch! I will for sure return, I felt at home!

My stay at Casa 1885 had two highlights: the house itself and – the hostess. The mere fact that I was staying in a house built towards the end of the 19th century was very impressive. Casa 1885 is a successful blend of ethnic style and modern comfort, furnished with attention to detail, in a quiet location, and with views of the Dolomite peaks. The hostess Armanda treats you as a guest rather than a customer, ever-present but not intrusive, helpful even with special requests, with small favors that go far beyond the obligatory – in short – a born hostess. Highly recommended!

The location of the property was perfect, it had lovely views and was right near a small shop and bar with only a 10 minute drive to the closest larger town. Armanda was a wonderful host and the breakfasts were delicious and varied. We could not ask for more.
