“We loved our holiday in Bellano, Lake Como & highly recommend a holiday at Suitecastlealkeview 1”

The location is superb, you are able to walk into Bellano in 5 minutes, there is very easy access to both the ferry boats & the train station. After a day out and about on the boats in busier neighbouring towns e.g. Varenna, Bellagio, Como etc.. (all very beautiful) it was so lovely to return to Bellano, which is quieter, and to get off the boat and just go 'ahhhhh' peace, serenity, much quieter, of course there are still locals & tourists about, with some very nice places to eat and drink, just without all the queues, hustle, bustle & hordes .........we loved 'coming home' to a welcoming, more peaceful Bellano !! From the apartment, the views of Lake Como are out of this world, the views from the upstairs bedroom terrace are absolutely beautiful, really stunning with amazing sunsets over the mountains & Lake Como. We had a fantastic experience being driven to Varenna in Giovanni (the owner's) 1975 VW Cabriolet aka "The Batmobile", this was a real highlight of our stay & the Friday evening BBQ cooked & prepared by Giovanni, who is a wonderful chef & host, the home made Aperol Spritz 'Giovanni style' went down a treat, "Grazie Davvero". N.B. if you have mobility issues it may be a challenge getting to the front door as their are a fair few steps up from the drive.

Very large appartment, beautiful view on the lake, very clean as well. It looks like an old museum, with many old paintings, I like this style. Parking place available, which is more or less a must at the Como lake.

A beautiful house in a beautiful location with a beautiful view. The house itself is large (easily slept 4 of us but I think there's room for 6), beautifully decorated like a museum, but very convenient. Well stocked kitchen. Terrace in the back. Comfortable living room. And have I mentioned the views over the lake? Wow. We could have spent much of our vacation on the porch, but we were also close to lots of Lake Como attractions. Bellano is a great town - not too touristy, not too small. There's a small, easily accessible beach literally right across the road. Finally, Giovanni is a terrific host. Accessible and welcoming but not intrusive. Great guy.

We really enjoyed our two days at this villa. Giovanni (the owner of the villa) is very hospitable and caring, he met us at the station and took us by car to the villa. The house has a beautiful view from the balconies on the lake, you can admire without leaving the house sunsets and sunrises. Everything we needed for a comfortable holiday for our family we found here. State-of-the-art kitchen appliances, gorgeous antique and stylish crockery, lots of wonderful paintings from past centuries made our holiday not only enjoyable but also aesthetically rich. In a couple of days we visited several towns of Lake Como by ferry. It was an unforgettable experience! The town centre, which we walked only 5 minutes to, offers very tasty and inexpensive food. I recommend it to everyone!

“Amazing view, perfect and friendly host, felt like home!”

Nice space, enough room, beds a little bit small, bit doable. The host was very friendly and helpful, I had a problem with a tyre that was slowly deflating and was able to use Giovanni's compressor. We also went for a ride in his convertible vintage VW beetle to Varenna and back. Truly a very attentive host, in the evening he also presented a very tasty 3-course menu accompanied by a home-made limoncello. Absolutely highly recommended! Will return when again in the neighborhood and available!

Giovanni was a wonderful host and very attentive to all guests. We appreciated being met on arrival and getting a lift to the station on leaving, we loved the spin in his vintage beetle and his two home-cooked meals were excellent- ottima qualità! The apartment was great and the views from the balcony are wonderful, you will not want to leave.

Great location in a beautiful and quiet place! The house is like a museum even better, as you can sleep and make a breakfast/lunch/dinner inside of it and enjoy all the antique accessories, or got outside to the lovely garden. The lake view from the bedroom terrace and bathroom window unforgettable, everything is really perfect! The house good equipped with everything you need! Special thanks to Giovanni for warm welcome.

Castle Suite 1 - a home away from home – a place where Lake Como dreams become reality. As soon as your feet step onto the property, you instantly create memories of a lifetime. You’ll be treated to stunning panoramic views, a house that’s elegantly decorated with original paintings, wood floors, marble floors, marble bathrooms, a kitchen, living room, and 4 terraces. You can’t help but be entranced with the romance of Como. But by far- the best part of our trip was meeting the owner, Giovanni. Giovanni instantly makes you feel like family. He loves to host and greets you with a light snack and THE BEST APEROL SPRITZ (ever). He warmly shows you around the garden/herb garden, terraces, and house. We quickly bonded over cooking and if you are lucky enough to be there on a weekend, you are in for a treat!! He may prepare a classic Italian dinner (spices from the garden and all)! We cooked two of the nights, and Giovanni provided us with his homemade rub (with herbs from the garden) for our steaks. WOW. Grab a book and venture into the gardens or outdoor living terrace. You will be surrounded by flowers, lemon trees, evergreen trees, Japanese maples, and butterflies. You can also eat dinner on the outdoor living terrace or watch the sunset on your own private terrace with panoramic views. Just across the street is a beach to go swimming and restaurants are a quick 5-minute walk away. Giovanni will personally tailor and advise on your itinerary based on your interests and time of the year. He also helped us make reservations – thank you! We know that we will absolutely go back. Next time, we plan to stay a week or more! (Also so that we can cook with Giovanni). He is the loveliest man. I won’t give away toooooo many surprises – but let’s just say – the drive he took us on was magical, too. Words truly escape us as we are still in awe of our time and only wish we could have stayed more days. Thank you, Giovanni! We will see you again soon to create more memories!

Everything!!!! The views from EVERYWHERE in the apartment. Giovanni is also the perfect host. He could not have done any more for us during our stay. The apartment is stunning. Bellano is beautiful and still a bit quieter than some of the towns on the lake. It's very easy to get to and get around once there. We got a direct train from Milan. It takes about an hour. Giovanni was there to get us at the station. Amazing!!!!
