Overview
Located on its own private island off the coast of Belize, Shaka Caye features on-site water sports, an all-inclusive meal plan and quick access to the Belize Barrier Reef. The air-conditioned cottages at this tropical resort come with excellent beach views, a satellite TV, a private outdoor seating area and a refrigerator. The property’s on-site restaurant features 2 professional chefs and serves international cuisine and sea food. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The property can arrange a variety of outdoor activities for guests, including water skiing, kayaking and fishing. They also offer tours of Belize and its ancient archaeological sites. Guests also enjoy an on-site spa and daily housekeeping. Rates included transportation services to/from the airport. Philip SW Goldson International Airport is about a 10 minutes' by boat and the mainland is about 20 minutes' by boat.

“The people and the place - second to none in Belize”
The staff at Shaka Caye is marvelous - couldn't have! They all worked really hard to make our visit a comfortable and memorable experience and they succeeded big time. Chef Jose prepared the most delicious meals we have tasted in a long time (see pictures), and the food was served in the most professional way by Michael and Percy. Two choices for breakfast, two for lunch and two for dinner (plus starter and desert) every day. Fresh fish and lobster, loads of vegetables, but also chicken and beef. New menu daily plus a snack delivered to our room. Obi the barkeeper made excellent tropical drinks from an extensive menu. The friendly ladies, Glanda, Veronica and Daisy, in the office were super helpful and did every kinds of arrangements for us from snorkling trip, transport to the airport and mailing postcards. The cabanas are beautiful in a "caribbean" style. Loads of thick towels, very comfortable bed and great bathroom with enough hot water. Minibar filled up for free every day. All the cabanas and the studio rooms are located at the water front, and there are more than enough sun beds and you can have as much privacy as you like. No creepy insects on the island. All the outdoor and indoor facilities are clean. Sargassum is a problem all over the caribbean, but Shaka Caye staff cleaned the beach every day so it was pristine and attractive. W love Shaka Caye and the employees, and will come back again.

“Ideal location to re-energize”
Lovely small island in the middle of the beautiful carribean sea. Plenty of kayak and SUP available free of charge. Lovely cottages with direct beach access!
