“A clean and comfortable place.”

I was pleased with my stay at Golden Tree Hotel. Unfortunately the bar/restaurant is closed for renovations. Which was a shame but I understand maintenance must be carried out.

Staff were friendly and very accommodating. The room was a nice size and very clean. The bed was comfortable.

The LOBBY was Remodeled and the Staff were Welcoming and pleasant. The Room was Clean and Beds were Comfortable.

I expect this hotel was once modern thriving hotel with conference facilities and pool area, it is sadly feeling its age now with some rather tired features. The photos are probably slightly deceptive although I didn’t see into all the rooms. The room however was clean and the aircon worked well. There seemed to be some renovation work going on whilst I was there so perhaps things are being updated. The staff were all lovey and really tried to make you feel welcome, whether that was reception staff, breakfast staff or housekeeping. The roof top pool is a lovely feature, there was no sun loungers by the pool and just what appeared to be old indoor tables and chairs. There was a bar by the pool but I’m not sure it was in use. Most of the area was covered over but you probably could Sunbathe on the to tier if there was sun loungers up there. Its not really a pool to use if you want a sit by the pool holiday for days on end, It’s more to just cool off and I saw a few kids playing in the pool. I really appreciated it had a pool as it was nice to use after a hot day. There was a gym on the 8th floor if you wanted to use it. They had a simple breakfast which was more than adequate. I think you could also order take out food throughout the day/evening. The location appears to be one of the more safer places in Belize city, I walked quite easily to the main part of the city. There isn’t a great amount around the hotel, but there is a couple of supermarkets and fast food places nearby, also what looked like a couple of restaurants were opening. They offered an airport transfer which appeared to be in house, I think this only took 20-25 min. I know this hotel has had some bad reviews, I’ve stayed in better but I have also stayed in far worse. It’s certainly wasn’t a luxury hotel, but given the fair price it was fine for the three nights I stayed after coming off the islands and to explore Belize city before heading to the airport.

For the dollar, the hotel is absolutely worth it. I wanted a good inexpensive hotel with proper amenities and clean. As a bonus, breakfast was included.

Don't get why this hotel has got quite a few medium ratings, it's quite nice actually! Everything was very clean Wi-Fi/ TV/ AC/ refrigerator etc worked perfectly Staff is friendly and helpful breakfast fresh and tasty with fresh fruits and salad and also warm dishes the gym is as huge as it looks on the picture, quite unlikely for hotels of that standard and also well maintained fresh water available anytime the pool is also very nice and clean

Central location, with a supermarket nearby if required. It's the tallest building around, so good views over the city. Breakfast was included & freshly prepared. Renovations were underway on the top floor, around the gym - not noisy, but it didn't look like the gym was very useable.

the reception employees were helpful, understanding and friendly, i even forgave that they forgot to organize my airport transfer. they get all the points I can possibly give this place.
