Lizards all around and very bad and scary night.hosts were v friendly but the house isn't comfortable at all.almost no lights and the weather and winds made the rooftop all dragged away monkeys knocking all night long alot of noise V v scary

The hosts turned to a friend and we had a amazing time together. That was exactly what we were looking for: a place outside connecting to nature and having time for us!

On the positive side, we were served a lovely breakfast on the balcony which has impressive views over paddy fields, and the host was very communicative online, though absent from the property itself unlike most SL hosts.

Really quirky tree house accommodation with incredible views! It’s incredible. The tree straight through the centre of the room, outdoor w/c & shower, balcony with incredible views of the misty peaks. We’d exchanged messages with Sadeepa prior to arrival and as my partner and I had got engaged that morning, they’d even written our names on the bed with palm leaves as a special touch. We were very much in the thick of nature here. It’s wonderful. Food was outstanding prepared by Sadeepa’s mother and his father was a gentleman, ensuring we had everything we needed.

The place is beautiful and well-built. The cottage is very cozy and has all the necessary facilities for cooking and making tea. The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming.

“Forest refuge”

Fantastic immersion in nature with pure privacy and communion with the birds. Dinner was really delicious with jackfruit seed curry being very special. Good place to detox and plug back into nature.

Kale Cottage offers a charming and cozy retreat, beautifully furnished with wood and unique touches like pebbles in the bathroom and a tree growing through the room. The host family is incredibly welcoming, and their homemade food is delicious. The sunrise view from the balcony is spectacular. With transfer transport and scooter rentals available, it’s easy to explore the area. Nature lovers will find this cottage absolutely delightful. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

“Beautiful nature cottage”

The cottage is beautiful. Really well made with a lovely big comfy bed, kitchen, kettle, cooking hob and nestled into nature. Stunning views of the country, the mountains, and front row to the sunrise. We sat on the balcony and watched the clouds sweep through the mountains and valley. Then, when the sun set, the fireflies floated between us and out to the night.

The cottage Is wonderfully built and furnished, all wood , pebbles in the bathroom and a tree growing through the room. Peaceful and cosy . Lovely family and home made food . Spectacular sunrise from the balcony .

Absolutely amazing cottage, the best one we have stayed in Sri Lanka, lovely warm shower, hosts made us dinner which was delicious as well as breakfast. Nearby waterfalls to cool off. Fire flies were beautiful in the evening. Comfortable bed, very clean all in all great. Would definitely recommend and will return when in Sri Lanka again!
