“Beautiful, private accommodation with fantastic birdlife”

Such a beautiful setting for a getaway. We loved that it was private and we felt like we were in a rainforest sanctuary. We are keen birdlife photographers, so you can imagine our excitement when the King Parrots, Crimson Rosellas, Cockatoos and other bird varieties came to visit us on the outside deck. The coffee machine was amazing and everything was so well set out in the kitchen. A comfy lounge and a nice big screen tv. We also enjoyed all the special little touches, such as supplies in the pantry etc Thank you for a very enjoyable stay and we hope to be back 😄

“lovely little escape”

great stay beautiful location. house manual and activities on interest very thought out. essentials provided including shampoo, laundry liquid etc was a lovely touch. Very comfortable beds, heaters in all rooms! fireplace in the lounge room :) matches and kindling/wood provided. we had some bird friends! lovely little place very short distance to town and puffing billy.

The whole house felt so homely with a modern twist. Such a family friendly home, supplying us with all the necessities for the perfect stay. The bird life just beautiful, the kids loved watching them come to the balcony to say hello.

“Sheer Perfection, wish I could have stayed longer”

EVERYTHING !! The best hosts ever. This fabulous property had everything you could want and more. It is so well stocked you will want for nothing. The location was perfect, so peaceful and pretty. Having the birds come to feed from the balcony was a real treat. Walking into town was a doddle where you had a large assortment of shops. I wholeheartedly recommend this property, if you book you will not be disappointed.

This place is awesome! It feels like a home away from home as soon as you walk in. Marcus and Abigail have thought of everything. The pantry is stocked with all the basics. We love the manual coffee machine with coffee beans ready to go for lattes in the morning. The bathroom also stocked with quality body wash and shampoo and conditioner. The towels are fluffy and the hair dryer powerful! The beds and pillows are super comfortable and block out blinds for sleep ins. The lounge also spacious with lots of seating and a big wood fire burner for heat and ambience to drink your red wine by. Big tv too to stream movies. Also we locked ourselves out one night and they answered us straight away with a solution. Clearly they care about their guests, which is nice to know in a panic! A really good place to stay and so close to everything. Thanks so much Abigail and Marcus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

I loved everything about this property, it was clean, the appliances were great quality, the towels are nice and fluffy, beds comfortable and the location is great. There were all kinds of birds coming to the balcony, even kookaburras. We seen wallabies and possums. If you want to be surround in nature and wildlife just come stay here. Can’t fault this place, thank you for the experience, will definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at Steep Creek Retreat. Easy to get to, lovely serene views from the Lounge area, place set up comfortable with extra heating if needed and cozy beds. Will definitely recommend and will be returning !

“A place to make special memories”

The house was very homely, well-appointed facilities, and had lovely little touches. It's such a beautiful location and really easy to get to shops, playgrounds, and nearby tourist sights like Puffing Billy. The hosts have made everything really easy for the guests to get settled in quickly. We particularly liked the deep, relaxing bath, the toastie fire, and the beautiful birds that visited the balcony every day. Thank you to the Steep Creek team for making the house a wonderful place to stay to create special memories.

“Perfect cozy home amongst the Forrest”

Its so cozy, Abigail and Marcus has been the most resposive and helpful host. From day 1 before we book until completion of our stay they have been very prompt with their replies, giving lots of information pre-arrival so we know what to expect. They certainly managed our expectations well on the arrival instructions with videos and write up provided. The place have 2 queen and 2 single bed which is well fitted for 6 people but our teens preferred to have their own bed and I requested if there could be a 5th bed made out for our family of 5. Abigail and Marcus was so kind to set out a queen side sofa bed in the hall which was perfect!! The fire place, the birds at the verandah, the fresh air. All the well prepared amenities and supplies. We love everything about this place and wish we had stayed longer. Will definitely stay here again should we have a chance to visit Belgrave. Thank you Abigail and Marcus.

We meet the house cleaner ( arrived a bit early) at the property who helped us out with keys & general imfo ( parking, heating, fire etc) It was nice to actually talk to someone on arrival too!! Loved feeding the birds in the morning with provided bird seed ( a nice touch)

Location, deck, wildlife. Bedding, beds were comfy and clean. Netflix, Disney access was not expected and definitely a bonus. Toiletries are a nice touch:)

Property was in a quiet location, just a short drive away from the town center. Owner was responsive via text.

Beautiful home, everything you could need, the hosts have gone above and beyond in terms of attention to detail and thoughtfulness even the guide was very thorough and well written. The beds were super comfy with high quality linen and towling and finally loved feeding the birds during our stay.

It was all terrific- the driveway was a little tricky is all.
