“best hostel ever”
I had a fantastic stay in Belgrade, and I would especially like to thank Jovana at reception. She was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful from the moment I arrived. Despite my short time in the city, she gave me a wealth of information about Serbian culture and history, which I greatly appreciated. As I am currently writing a thesis comparing Yugoslavia with communist-era Poland, her recommendation to visit the Museum of Yugoslavia was particularly valuable. It turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip and an excellent use of my limited time in Belgrade. She also recommended the restaurant Dva Jelena in the city centre, where I had a wonderful meal and a great introduction to local cuisine. Her suggestions helped me experience much more of the city than I would have on my own. Jovana's kindness, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm for sharing her culture made a lasting impression on me. I am very grateful for all her advice and assistance, and she played a big part in making my stay so memorable. Thank you, Jovana!

“Forced to book another stay as their automatic locks did not work and the personnel was sleeping”
Their automatic lock doesn’t work most of the time. After 00.00 there is no one in the reception so you won’t be able to enter your room.

I arrived early morning after a nighttrain from Montenegro, just the moment reception opened. The receptionist was very kind and let me check-in instantly, because there was a free bed in the female dorm. I could instantly use the shower, bathroom was clean and newly looking. I could imagine, with six women in the morning things could get a bit messy, but there were just two of us and it was fine:) Bed was comfortable, location good for explorers of the city. I liked the wooden floor and the atmopshere of an art-nouveau apartment. The receptionist was very helpful in finding out bus routes to different parts of the city. All in all good value for your money!

It’s really close to everything, the location is just perfect. The beds are so comfy and you have your own private space. I really do recommend this hostel, my stay was very nice 😊

“Great location for good money”
Location is absolutely amazing and the staff is always super nice and helpful. Rooms are nice and well equipped. Our room had a balcony as well. I stayed here few times and I will happily come again, as the service was always outstanding.

“Awesome hostel”
Really cool hostel, with modern and nice rooms and a cool common area that has an old school feeling of sharing and is perfect to meet other travelers and make friends! Staff is really friendly and the location in Belgrade is also very good.

“Lovely room with a balcony and a very friendly host”
Very friendly lady who works the reception. Maybe shes the manager. She's got a very positive attitude. Beautiful bathroom. Room temperature is very comfortable. Balcony was a bonus!

Hostel Karajan was a joy to stay at, the space was very modern and most importantly very clean. During the stay I made life long friends. The staff, receptionists were extremely welcoming and helpful.

“Perfect stay at a short distance to the city center”
Perfect location, hospitable staff and a homely atmosphere. Important part: the rooms, especially the bathroom, were clean during all the stay. And the hostel provided the late check-in and the opportunity of leaving the luggage before the return flight!
