Easy parking, 24h check in. Staff ok. Just outside Belfort, 20 minutes walk to the city centre, a few minutes by car. Room was ok, decent size. Also plenty of restaurant in a couple of minutes walk.

The room was clean and adequate, if a little basic - fine for one night in transit to our end destination. It was a fairly short walk (10 mins) into the main centre of Belfort. The car park around the back was useful.

A It was not at the Gare .I had to ask to find it. It is also along way from restaurants I had a very long walk from the gare and could have taken the no 2 bus if only you had mentioned it . B Why did the hotel take a 100 euro deposit when it already had my credit card details as always with booking.com?

I cannot review Kyriad because we were not given a room for 3 persons at the hotel. At first, they said I did not make a reservation, then when the record was found, they said no room was reserved for us. Instead, we were offered 2 rooms at Best Western, under the same owner, for 2 nights at no extra cost. This was just too good to be true! When we got to Best Western, we were told they only had rooms for us for 1 night. After a lengthy negotiation, the conclusion was: sorry, both hotels were fully booked and no rooms would be available. As consolation, we were told when the directrice arrived the next morning, she might be able able to find us a room, at one of the 2 hotels or elsewhere. But there was no guarantee. To get some peace of mind, later that night, we booked another property for our second night in Belfort. The next morning, there was no news about any room being found for us, and we checked out at 9am. In the early afternoon, while walking around town, we ran into the hotel staff who checked us in the night before. He said there was now a room for us at Kyriad, to which I responded that it was no longer needed. Then he said he would cancel it for us. All this time wecwere just talking in the street. Imagine my shock when a day after leaving Belfort, I found that the hotel had charged us for the second night. It must be pointed out that both Kyriad and Best Western said they did not reserve rooms for us for 21 and 22 Aug. Then there was no notification ever about a room had been found for us when or after we checked out on 22 Aug. So how can they charge us for a room we never used? Besides, I just realised that they had charged us €7.92 for tax, which I think is the amount for 3 persons 2 nights. I have written to them asking for a refund. But 24 hours have passed and I have received no response from them. Further update: Apart from not hearing from the hotel itself, Booking.com has not been helpful so far. Disappointing service!

“Nice hotel for a short stay”

Location was convenient, near main road and the Belfort city was also nice for a short walk. Room was quite spacious, quiet, the bathroom was clean and the beds were amazingly comfortable. Breakfast was okey, but could be more various.
