Grand Mercure Beijing Central is a stylish hotel located in Xidan Commercial District. It is a 10-minute walk from Chang’an Street, in front of the Forbidden City, and 3 km from Wangfujing Shopping Street. It offers 2 restaurants, a heated indoor pool and free parking on site. “You are good but you could have been better.”
Location was good. Metro station (xuanwumen and xidan) was just round the corner. Buses are available to the nearest shopping malls too. There is a proper hotel lobby where the taxi are able to turn in for boarding and alighting.

“Great hotel for a first discovery of Beijing!”
The bed was really comfy and I appreciated that we had a room set up for our family with two trundle beds, and a double for my husband and I. The shower had great pressure (always important!) and the swimming pool was great.

Location is between two Metro stations, short walk. This allow access to everything. The area of the hotel was quiet, with a shopping mall close by. The staff were awesome, friendly, helpful, and will help with any questions. The room was really nice, modern, bed was very comfortable. Facilities- the jacuzzi was not working, the gym is adequate and the pool is a lap pool. Breakfast, this is one of the best selection of breakfast in Asia. The food was very tasty. This definitely a hotel to stay in.

Staff were kind, especially since we arrived early at 8am and they prioritised getting our room ready. Decent location with access to two metro lines.
